Hotel Comments: Very clean and nice improvement over the previous mold stench-ed hotel we had with stairs.

Dining Comments: Hotel van is more than willing to give you a ride across the highway to grab some food. I suggest Rudy's BBQ, try the Lean Brisket or Pulled pork, but everything is good. It's a local Texas BBQ joint and very good. Breakfast buffet at the hotel has eggs, biscuits, bacon, all the good stuff - 20% discount... Comes out to about 6bucks total. Well worth it.

Entertainment Comments: If you have a long layover there is an enterprise rental car place just down the street. Rent a car and spend the day on South Padre Island with a few beers. Great place to enjoy the day.. I suggest buying a cheap cooler at a grocery store and filling 'er up with some beer.

Hotel Comments: Nice hotel. About 15 minute van ride. It's right next to an interstate and most everything is on the other side of it, which makes entertainment difficult. Either take the van, or "frogger" across 12 lanes of traffic. No fridge or microwave, but I think there is a MW in the lobby. I found the staff friendly and helpful. Workout room has treadmill, elliptical, and i believe some freeweights. Free wireless and wired internet. HBO.

Dining Comments: Taco Loco or something like that right behind the hotel. A mile or so upstream of traffic is a strip with Jason's Deli, Cici's Pizza, Quiznos. Across the interstate there is an Outback, Chili's and lots of other stuff, but it's hard to get to unless you take the van. Breakfast in the hotel is surprisingly cheap. I had the cold breakfast buffet and paid $2.71.

Entertainment Comments: Can't think of anything. Anything outside is a bad deal, no sidewalks to walk, or run on. Hard to get across the interstate.
