Hotel Comments: The hotel is the old Holiday Inn and has since changed names and policies the Crowne Plaza. That being so there is no longer free wireless in the room. However, the night manager gave my crew a PIN for the internet. It is 254689. The code is good until the end of 2008. Just log on and enter where it says PIN and enjoy.

Dining Comments: There is a mall nearby for food or the hotel has something

Entertainment Comments: Again there is a mall nearby. If you have time I hear the air museum at IAD is pretty good as well.

Hotel Comments: About a 20 minute drive to the airport - no traffic. Nice rooms with a bar that's open until 1:00 AM downstairs.

Dining Comments: Numerous in Tyson's Corner mall nearby.

Entertainment Comments: Malls, Smithsonian aviation exhibit at IAD

Hotel Comments: Overall the hotel itself is pretty good. Clean, good beds, seems quiet. NO FREE WIRED OR WIRELESS IN ROOMS. In some areas of the hotel you can get on Courtyard's wireless. Otherwise, use the business center. Supposedly has free wireless in the lobby.

Dining Comments: There is a mall nearby, but it's a collection of pretty high-end stores, as well as the food places. No usual fast food-type food court. Stuff like Cheesecake Factory and P.F. Changs. You can DEFINITELY eat cheaper at the hotel restaurant (10% discount).

Entertainment Comments: The hotel will take you to the nearest metro (train) stop, the Dunn-Lorring station (orange line). However, they have a schedule of when they CAN take you and pick you up, not WILL. You must coordinate with them and select one of their predetermined times. Early morning and late afternoon they run every 2 hours. Mid-day it's about every hour. If you're there on a weekend, bottom line, the national mall and museums are a piece of cake, but we found that we had to take the shuttle to the metro stop, transfer to a bus back to IAD, and then take a shuttle bus to the museum side of the airport. With the reduced weekend schedule, it would have taken us 3 HOURS to get to the museum. A direct ride that is only 20 minutes. The first shuttle to the train stop leaves the hotel at 7am. I would advise taking that one. Most of the museums close at 530pm.

Hotel Comments: Decent as far as the hotel goes. o.k. beds and comforter, average pillows. Internet connection was wireless... someone else's. Room has flat screen tv. 20 mins from apt. need to leave 45 mins prior to show....sucks!! Gym is not great, although cardio equip. is new. Has chest press, lat tower and leg extension. 30lbs free weights.

Dining Comments: Mall nearby
