Hotel Comments: The former Sheraton is now the Crown Plaza. The remodeling is complete so no more ghetto back door drop offs. A much needed face lift is now a sigh of relief. Although they do put us at the back still, which requires a long walk to the front. Comfy beds and soft pillows. NO Free Internet though. Indoor pool and basketball court outside. Great stay for a long overnight -- rent a car and go see the sights; directly west of the hotel is seven falls -- about 6 miles away. Hotel van can drop you off or pick up during the runs to/from the airport.

Dining Comments: The hotel has a restaurant and a bar. Across the freeway is Dennys, Village Inn, Chilis, Subway, BK and Outback by the movie theaters. Further west is a Macaroni Grill.

Entertainment Comments: Go see the mountains, enjoy the outdoors, or downtown has lots to do. Tinseltown Cinemark movie theaters across the freeway and Target for shopping.

Hotel Comments: Hotel staff not accommodating. Front desk manager rude.

Dining Comments: Your room.

Entertainment Comments: Sleep, if you can through all the noise.

Hotel Comments: Recently under HEAVY construction. Back door drop off is next to temp check in office. The whole front of the hotel is closed.... No bar, restaurant, or lobby. Great beds and nice big rooms. RENT A CAR for the long layover.

Dining Comments: Greatest breakfast EVER at "Kings Chef" in downtown better known as the Purple Castle. The place is awesome, packed, has limited seating, and the friendly chef has a few simple rules 1) If you sit in the restaurant you buy something (a slice of toast or coffee) because there are only 7 seats in high demand 2) "This ain't high school... we don't save seats" come late and you make new friends at the other end of the bar. 3) It is the Chef's place... He may tell you to move seats to let a group in. Just move.... He is way nice about it.

Entertainment Comments: Oscar's pub is right across from Kings Chef on Tejon and Cimmeron St. 2 for 1 drinks and college girls. Apparently it is awesome...I'll write a review next time. Very little to see at Air Force Academy. Visit the US Olympic Training Center near Kings Chef. Guided tours on the hour, lasts 45 minutes. Good gift shop and a cool tour. Regularly can see organized competitions for less than 5 bucks. Boxing Swimming Rowing etc competition with real Olympic Athletes for way cheap. Check the events schedule online for good entertainment.

Hotel Comments: This hotel is pretty sub-par. It is very old and you can count on getting your room at the very end of the hotel...10 min walk from front desk. The room smelled, that is the second one after getting one w/ broken door. Very unhelpful staff. There is no free internet. The gym is crapy with a very marginal multi-machines.

Dining Comments: Several across the highway. Hotel restaurant Subway

Entertainment Comments: Go shopping if you're a mall rat. Sleep.

Hotel Comments: The hotel is one of our best that I have been too in awhile. The rooms are big and the beds are really comfortable. The van will take you downtown and to the resturants and movie theater that are also in walking distance.

Dining Comments: Depending on when you get in on the other side of the overpass there is Chilies, Outback Fazolies to name a few. The hotel also has a bar and resturand as well as a regular resturant.

Entertainment Comments: Downtown some shopping and has night life, movie theater and mall on the other shopping. Renting a car for the long overnight, Air Froce academy is not to far as well as the garden of the gods (great place to hike and walk around) and Pikes peak. Unfortunatly the van driver said that NORAD is not open fo tours.

Hotel Comments: Older Sheraton

Dining Comments: Carrabas, Outback, Chuck E Cheese, Subway, Arby's, Carls Jr, and Chilis near Tinseltown across interstate.

Entertainment Comments: Just tinseltown near hotel.

Hotel Comments: No longer free internet. About $10 now.

Dining Comments: Several places just a short walk away.

Entertainment Comments: Tinseltown Theater just down the street. Not too much else in walking distance.
