Hotel Comments: Nice rooms, nice beds, friendly staff.

Dining Comments: Tony Ramas, Boston pizza and a few others right next door

Entertainment Comments: I slept in my comfy bed for 12hrs.
October 1, 2008
Hotel Comments: Every TUESDAY from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Crowne Plaza Toronto hosts a reception for PRIORITY CLUB MEMBERS complete with FREE snack food and beverages. The management staff attend and are VERY friendly. Well worth attending.

Dining Comments: Several restaurants just a short walk across the parking lot. Tony Roma's (A Place for Ribs) is the only one that I remember.

Entertainment Comments: Not much near by, as is true for most "airport hotels".
June 26, 2008
Hotel Comments: Room clean. Van service o.k., have to get to airport extra early to clear customs. Oh well ya gotta do it on the front or back side of the flight. Couldn't sleep because of so many airplanes flying right over the hotel on approach to land.

Dining Comments: No time.

Entertainment Comments: Short overnight.

Hotel Comments: Close to the airport, but leave an EXTRA 30 minutes early to clear customs and make the long walk. CREW CAR is still here! They have two beater cars available, and it makes going to dinner much nicer in the cold weather. BREAKFAST is excellent. You get a free continental breakfast coupon (bread and juice), but the buffet is the way to go. With the coupon the wait staff will give you half off = $6.00 for a great start to your day. Nice rooms, limited and expensive food close by. Montana's has awesome ribs and beer - but the bill was typical for Canada, about twice what you would expect.

Dining Comments: Montanas (Full meals, Sandwiches, Soups, or Beers - Sports on TV) Bostons Pizza (Pizza, Wings, etc - Sports Bar style) Hotel (1/2 price meals)

Entertainment Comments: Not a lot.... grab the car and go downtown I guess

Hotel Comments: Nice hotel. Small rooms but clean and nice beds. Decent hotel restaurant.

Dining Comments: Tony Roma's, a Canadian Steak place, Outback, hotel restaurant.

Entertainment Comments: The hotel actually has a crew car you can use. It's a beat up old Ford Tempo, but it works. Ask the front desk. You must put gas in it or they charge you $5. Please do not abuse this priviledge. The drive to downtown Toronto is easy.

Hotel Comments: Standard Crowne Plaza and a perfectly acceptable airport hotel.

Dining Comments: No free coffee in lobby. Grab and go menu for less than $5. Breakfast buffet is $16CAN. They offered a 15% discount.

Hotel Comments: Nice Hotel but waited a long time for the van (but whats new there). They give you a coupon for free breakfast in the morning that opens at 5am in the hotel restaurant.

Dining Comments: An all you can eat buffet place (expensive, we were there on Sunday and they wanted 19.99 canadian for it), Boston Pizza (a sports bar type restaurant), Tony Romas, and a Barbque place are all accrossed the parking lot. That's as far as we braved the walk, so we ate at the pizza place. Decent food. Ok prices.

Entertainment Comments: Internet. TV. Eat. Workout.
June 8, 2005
Hotel Comments: Van only runs on the half hour. A real pain for show times just after the top and bottom of the hour, as you have to leave a little earlier than normal to preclear customs (especially the 6:15 AM departure to IAH, it's a 5:00 AM van).

Dining Comments: As previously stated.

Entertainment Comments: Sleep.
February 22, 2005
Hotel Comments: Hotel is close to the airport (even though it's a 10 minute drive) with not much in the way of restaurants or entertainment around. Not sure if the van will take you anywhere but I doubt it.

Dining Comments: Hotel Restaurant which seemed reasononbly priced, although I didn't try the food.

Entertainment Comments: Watch nudity on Canadian Television.
October 10, 2006
Hotel Comments: Nice place, free internet. Nice pool. For the 0615 departure you will need to leave earlier than you think, ops will give you an info sheet when you land.

Dining Comments: Hotel restaurant is expensive but does have 1/2 price bar food 4-6pm. Front desk staff can advise of nearby restaurants, they all involve a 10+ minute walk and they will not take you. The nice French steakhouse next to the hotel is closed down. Food in Canada is expensive, exchange rate is near 1:1.

Entertainment Comments: Catch a bus+subway downtown to see the CN tower and hang around Yonge Street. When the WX is bad I just hang out at the pool.
