Hotel Comments: Great hotel downtown. Free WiFi. Half an hour from airport. Lots of places to go for food and shopping right in the neighborhood. Beds are hard but the room was clean.

Dining Comments: Pizza next door to the hotal open late and hotel restaurant (no airline discount) but very good breakfast and not at all expensive. Coffee bar attached to the hotel also.

Entertainment Comments: Take the tram up to the old town and Castle.

Hotel Comments: Great overnight! Nice hotel in a downtown area.

Dining Comments: Across the street from the hotel there is a "pizza" joint with great food and salads. Be sure to order a "Blue" - good stuff on tap.

Entertainment Comments: Walk around. Pretend to speak French.

Hotel Comments: Like previously stated, the hotel is very modern and Euro in the feel and look. The renovations are almost complete but still a few things going on. The pool and fitness center and still work in progress. MAKE SURE you ask the front desk as to where your rooms in relation to the on-going construction. Trust me, you DO NOT want a room on the same floor as the construction unless you want to wake up like 7am to jack hammers and stuff. If you do not like the modern Euro rooms and would rather settle for a "normal" room, they still have some of those rooms. Just ask the front desk and they'll give you one of the other rooms that have not been updated (I believe the rooms on the 3rd floor are all "normal" and not ultra-modern). There is free wireless. There's also free coffee in the lobby, but no coffee makers in the rooms. *** I recommend you STAY AWAY from the 3rd floor because construction is going on there and you will be awaken at 7am to construction equipment and jack hammers...get a room on another floor, if they say no, demand another room on a different floor ***

Dining Comments: There are lots of places within walking distance around the hotel, just ask the front desk if you don't know where to go. There's a cafe attached to the hotel that has very good food and good prices.

Entertainment Comments: This year, it's the 400th anniversary of Quebec so there are plenty of celebrations going on throughout the year. There are many places to go and see within walking distance of the hotel. Ask the front desk and they'll point you in the right direction.

Hotel Comments: The hotel renovations are almost complete. There really isn't any construction going on the floors, but rather almost all concentrated on the lobby area, so you won't be hearing jack-hammers or other construction equipment at 7am! The hotel is very Euro-modern. A lot different than most hotels we stay at. Not good if you're afraid of heights, as the giant windows in each room extend from floor to ceiling. Each room has a 32" LCD tv on the wall and also has an iHOME (a clock that has an iPod docking station). Free wireless internet. Business center is not done yet. Hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport. Overall, it's a very nice hotel and it's located in a great location. FYI...it gets REALLY REALLY cold in winter, so pack accordingly.

Dining Comments: There are lots of local places which you can walk to, just ask the front desk. Otherwise, there is a nice small cafe attached to the hotel right outside that serves breakfast and lunch. Good choices and reasonably priced.

Entertainment Comments: There's always something going on, especially if you like winter sports. Tons of winter stuff to do. If you got time, take a cab or bus to the Ice Hotel (yes, hotel made completely out of ice in the winter), etc. If not, just stay around the hotel and explore the city.

Hotel Comments: Hotel is very European but nice. Comfortable bed but woke up feeling like I was sleeping on a sofa-bed (when you see it, you'll understand). Nice tv. Renovations still going on, woke up to hammering at 8.

Dining Comments: Short overnight. Drove past what looked like some nice places on the way in. Cafe attached. Expresso machine in lobby, try a shot of the expresso and it will knock you over.

Entertainment Comments: Short overnight. Could be fun in summer.
September 6, 2009
Hotel Comments: Hotel room looks a little old but so far it is clean.

Dining Comments: Many restaurants around the corner even though hotel restaurant is closed during day/lunch time.

Entertainment Comments: no comment
December 10, 2008
Hotel Comments: Previous gouge is good. Hotel is still under construction. Gym is so so. Good cardio and one small multimachine. 50lbs dumbbells. Room is o.k., good comforter kinda hard bed and pillows are average. T.v. is almost all French channels.

Dining Comments: Several within walking distance.

Entertainment Comments: Too cold to venture out.
May 27, 2008
Hotel Comments: As mentioned very euro looking rooms. The lighting in the bathroom leaves a lot to be desired, esp if you want to put on makeup, or if a guy sure it is hard to see to shave, the lights are in the what appears to be unfinished ceiling (was told it is finished, that was the look they were going for)and very dark. No coffee makers in the room, however have a big free coffee machine in lobby.

Dining Comments: Coffee shop/Deli next door.

Entertainment Comments: If you want to walk a bit (weather permitting) uphill.... downtown is a lot of fun and after a few beers it is a downhill walk back to hotel LOL
October 26, 2007
Hotel Comments: Renovation is almost complete in the rooms. Didn't get the early wake-up call from the hammer-drill like last time I was there. Front desk expects it to be done sometime in November.

Dining Comments: Little coffeehouse attached to the hotel, just outside of the front door. Several places down in front of hotel near the Library, some more places in the "upper town", not to far of a walk away.

Entertainment Comments: Some neat old chapels and cathedrals in town if you are into that. Upper town has some neat shops, but the language barrier is quite significant. A lot of people speak English up there, but good luck finding them!
June 16, 2007
Hotel Comments: Hotel is currently under construction. Contruction begins promptly at 7:30am. You will not be able to sleep through it! Currently drilling in concrete on the 9th floor, which resonates through the entire hotel. If you value your sleep, stay away.
