Hotel Comments: Older style Hilton, but very clean and comfy beds. Free wifi (code given at check in), van ride is about 10 minutes, flat screen TV.

Dining Comments: Rafferty's and Cracker Barrel across parking lot, there's a Subway, OCharleys, and Applebees nearby.

Entertainment Comments: Not much time, enjoy the TV and some food and beer.

Hotel Comments: Friendly staff, nice rooms, free wireless and network internet access (get code from front desk), OK exercise room, small pool.

Dining Comments: Lots of places to eat. Cracker Barrel and steak house within easy walking distance (less than 1/4 mile. Other eating places within 1/2 mile.

Entertainment Comments: Take a cab to Union Terminal for 3 museums and an OmniMax theater (everything closes at 5 even on weekends except Omni). Newport downtown has lots to do. Don't miss the Basilica of the Assumption which is modeled after the grand cathedrals in Europe. Horse races are within about a mile.

Hotel Comments: Pretty short van ride. Van pickup still at the door right by our bag-claim. Very nice beds.

Dining Comments: Rafferty's across the way does not have half-price appetizers during happy hour anymore, and the happy hour's not that great.

Entertainment Comments: Besides walking along the noisy main road, didn't see much

Hotel Comments: Great hotel overall. The rooms are very clean, updated, and nice size as well. Great beds and linen! The hotel van runs back and forth between the airport every 30 minutes so call them as soon as you land and get picked up at baggage claim level, area/zone "B". Free wireless throughout the hotel...the front desk will give you an access code. There's a nice business center as well. The hotel has a nice indoor pool as well as a fitness center. There's a small hotel store where you can buy things if you forget something. The hotel van will take you almost anywhere, depending on how busy they are and who you ask at the front desk. Hotel has a nice restaurant that we get 20% discount.

Dining Comments: There are lots of places to eat nearby the hotel. Right outside in the parking lot is an Applebee's and Rafferty's. Otherwise there's also a Cracker Barrel, O'Charley's, Panera Bread, Wendy's, Tumbleweed (Mexican), 3 Amigos (Mexican), Subway, and Famous Dave's BBQ. I would recommend Famous Dave's BBQ...great food and good prices! 3 Amigos is a very good Mexican restaurant as well...ask the front desk for directions as this place is hidden and you have to search for it. The van will take you to these places or you can just walk, no more than 5-10 minutes to most places. The hotel restaurant is very good as well and we get a 20% discount too.

Entertainment Comments: There's not much to do nearby. Indoor pool, the fitness center, etc. There are a few shopping centers you can walk to or ask the van to take you there with stores like Target, Dick's, etc. There's also a horse racing track nearby and OTB betting as well. If you've got time, you can rent a car and drive about 20 minutes into Indiana and go to the casinos there or maybe work it out where the casino shuttle will pick you up from the airport.

Hotel Comments: Beds are the best part of the room. Shampoo not bad either.

Dining Comments: Rafferty's has happy hour 4-7pm half price appetizers and 2.50 domestic bottles. The wings are really good.

Hotel Comments: Nice hotel, great rooms, nice beds. Hotel has free wireless (code given during check-in) and a free business center with two computers and printers. Hotel van did take a while but was reliable and otherwise on time. Call when you land.

Dining Comments: Rafferty's in the parking lot is awesome-get the prime rib. Cracker Barrel, Applebees, O'Charleys, and many more are within a short walk. Lots of choices.

Entertainment Comments: Indoor pool, decent workout room. Shopping center including Target, Dick's Sports, etc is across the street.

Hotel Comments: Van departs every half hour. So if you call them for a pickup at :15 they say theyll send it but it wont leave until :30

Hotel Comments: Business center not free. Hotel was clean. Van took over 30 minutes to arrive- had to take a cab, which they gave us a lot of attitude about. They eventually paid for it.

Dining Comments: Applebee's, local bar and grill place.

Entertainment Comments: Not much.
