Hotel Comments: I COMMUTE FROM THIS CITY AND A CAB FARE SHOULD BE NO MORE THAN 50 PESOS DOWNTOWN, ALSO THE HOTEL CALLS FOR CABS AND DOES NOT GIVE CAB RATES ! THE CAB RATES POSTED ON THE LOBBY ARE SET BY THE CAB COMPANY AND ARE USUALLY FOR OUT OF TOWN TRIPS.

Dining Comments: ONE OF THE BEST BREAKFAST IN THE SYSTEM !!!! PLUS ITS FREE

Hotel Comments: Holiday Inn Express

Dining Comments: Hotel, and an Applebees next door.

Entertainment Comments: The hotel has a new scam, they try to tell you that a taxi cost 250 pesos to go downtown. But it cost 50 pesos to go in a taxi. if you let the front desk call you a taxi, it will be an employee posing as a taxi and quote you about 250% of what a cab will cost. I am sending a letter to the hotel committee also...

Hotel Comments: This overnight is only a 9 if you can get out and see the sights. The hotel is a standard Mexican Holiday Inn Express. Hard beds. Free internet & breakfast after 6am. Guanajuato is amazing though. It is WELL WORTH it to take the 50 peso (approx $5 bucks) taxi to the city and take in the sites. Ask the cab driver to take you to Bar Ocho. From there you can walk around and see everything.

Dining Comments: Applebees next to the hotel if you're the boring type. Otherwise take a cab out and there are many restaurants in town.

Entertainment Comments: City is very European. Old style with cobblestone streets. Built up vertically along the hillside. A very old system of tunnels connects everything. You really gotta see it.

Hotel Comments: Typical HIE in Mexico

Entertainment Comments: Just an update on some prices. As of 080608 cab ride was 40 pesos. We went downtown during the day instead of at night and got to see it from a tourists point of view, instead of the "lets get drunk" POV. Really nice city. Camera worthy.

Hotel Comments: For an HI express it is pretty nice like every HI express in Mexico.

Dining Comments: Our crew ate the free breakfast in the morning at the hotel and picked up some donuts and fresh juice downtown. Worth every penny!

Entertainment Comments: For 40 pesos one way you can go downtown and to the open air market area where you can pretty much pick out anything under the sun that you want to eat.

Hotel Comments: Wired internet in rooms, free.

Dining Comments: Breakfast free, if you don't have the early flight out the restaurant next door was great, and then they turned it into Applebees (now open). We walked a mile or more to the left and found nothing else to eat

Entertainment Comments: Didn't venture downtown, but walking around the hotel area seems to prove the point of previous posts that you'd have to catch a ride downtown to do anything.

Hotel Comments: Very clean and big rooms. Free in-room internet and front desk very helpful if you want to go out and explore

Dining Comments: The hotel has a restaurant in the building and they give you free breakfast. M-F 0600 and Sat-Sun starts at 0700.

Entertainment Comments: TAKE A CAB INTO THE CITY!!!! 50 peso ($5) and have them take you into the city square. The city is fairly safe and beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants in the city and shops. I highly recommend going into the city and check it out.

Hotel Comments: Hotel is nice with spacious rooms and free high speedd. Not wireless.

Dining Comments: There is a resturaunt right next door to the hotel, plus a few others if you are willing to explore.

Entertainment Comments: Get a cab and go downtown. Ask to be dropped off at Bar Ocho. Lots of fun downtown. MANY BARS, plus some cool architecture. Cab ride is 3 bucks both ways, and the beer is cheap!!!
