Hotel Comments: This place is such a dump! Absolutely gross! There was a dead roach inside my shoe. At least it was dead once I realized something was in my shoe & pulled my foot out. Now that it has changed the name to Clarion, the personnel are grouchy, too. why are we still staying here?

Hotel Comments: Nothing to add...hotel is still old, still gross but now they call it a Clarion...woooohoooo. The crew discount is the only redeeming quality of this hotel.

Dining Comments: Bar still gives us 50% off food, which is decent and reasonably priced to begin with. My total tab for burger, fries and a coke was $4.50.

Entertainment Comments: Never had more than 8 or 9 hours here and the folks hanging out at the hotel bar can be entertaining enough. There's also a small sad looking mall nearby.

Hotel Comments: Bring ear plugs. Train tracks next to the hotel. Train somehow knows the exact moment you're about to drift off to sleep and then blows loud horn.

Dining Comments: Bring your own Ramen noodles and cook 'em in the coffee pot!

Entertainment Comments: See "Places to eat"

Hotel Comments: Hotel is old and gross. Rooms are run down and beds are hard. Sheets are gross. Bad area.

Dining Comments: Hotel restaurant gives a good deal, but closes early...just like everything else around the hotel. Bring your own food if you are scheduled to get in late.

Entertainment Comments: Nothing.

Hotel Comments: Older but renovated Holiday Inn. Rooms are nice, but they use way to much air freshener and there is no way to open a window, so basically it stinks. The neighborhood is not the best, we were advised not to walk around outside at night.

Dining Comments: Hotel restaurant is good and gives 50% off, but closes with the bar at 10 most nights. Apparently even pizza delivery is not possible after 10pm unless it's a weekend. The van driver took us to IHOP, which is nearby.

Entertainment Comments: Indoor pool/jacuzzi. Free wired internet (slow...) and HBO on TV.

Hotel Comments: Restaurant in hotel gives 50% off food to airline crew members. THe section of the hotel they put us in had no elevator and we were on the second floor. Room is suite style with sitting room with fridge and microwave.

Dining Comments: We ate at the hotel restauratn (got in late and nothing close by the hotel) Not too bad. With discount my meal came to six dollars altogether.

Entertainment Comments: Eat. Sleep. Internet.

Hotel Comments: The hotel is outdated but really appreciates pilots. Sometimes they have kept the kitchen open later just to accomodate the pilots.

Dining Comments: For the short overnight, You can order Johnny's pizza to deliver to the hotel. Its a Louisiana chain that is growing rapidly. They have this famous pizza called the "Sweep the Kitchen" Its loaded and takes about 30 minutes to arrive. This pizza is loaded to the max. It literaly has stuff falling off of it. They also have the regular flavors like peporoni and what not but the sweep the kitchen is awesome. The whole crew can have enogh with a 14" or if one of you is a female you could probably get away with a 12" size. If you are the only one I would just order the 10" size. But beware, its like "crack", you can't get enough!

Entertainment Comments: It's in the part of louisiana that coined the name "Sportsman's Paradise" because of the many lakes and hunting areas around there. However, it takes a 36 hr overnight to plan a hunting/fishing trip which we do not have there. If you know someone who lives here, try to get them to invite you hunting or fishing.
