Just to update...wireless internet is free in rooms. Still get free dry cleaning for 3 uniform items. Very nice hotel.
Hotel has a Mexican, sushi, Argentine Steakhouse, and Mediterranean restaurant..20% off. Magic Bean still good.
Felt safe walking around during day. Next time I plan to take the cable car ride to the top of the mountain.
Hotel is great. Crews can get a massage for 20 USD at Spa.
Internet in your room cost approximately 16 USD per day.
The hotel has a business center and it is free for crews.
Many crew members have trouble sleeping due to the elevation of Quito and some require Oxygen bottles to sleep comfortably which the hotel can provide, but they have just recently started charging for them. Approximately 15 dollars per bottle.
Hotel has a great buffet for breakfast. ($9)
Many DVD shops all around and shopping can find some bargains.
Nice layover, but hotel isn't as "FA friendly" as it used to be. Leave your credit card number at the desk at check-in if you are going to sign for anything. Shoe shines are not free anymore, nor is oxygen. If you use your computer in your room they will try to charge you and tell you it is only free in the business center, but at the bottom of the sign-in sheet, it says it is free, and when shown this, staff said it is part of the new contract for free internet access from your room. You do not have to pay for internet!
Of course, the Magic Bean for breakfast, smoothies, good coffee. Also good is the Argentine Steak House across the street from the Bean. Both are on Juan Leon Meara.
Indian market shopping, services of all types: massage, mani, pedi, hair, facials--too many to list!
