Hotel Comments: Great location, rooms are dated. If you get a room in the back towers, these are the 'apartment' type rooms; spacious with kitchenette; mini fridge, small hot plate stove, microwave. Pillows are great!

Dining Comments: As previously mentioned -- St.Catherine street; too many to list. Convenience store slight-left across street from hotel. FYI..Stores stop selling beer at 11:00 pm, but restaurants do not.

Entertainment Comments: as previously mentioned

Hotel Comments: A bit dated but clean. Friendly staff.

Dining Comments: I recommend Al-Taib bakery for their excellent manakishes (arab flatbreads with a variety of toppings--zaatar, cheese, meat) Authentic and delicious. Very inexpensive and two is plenty to fill you up. It is on Rue Guy, underneath a bank. Take cash because they don't accept credit cards.

Entertainment Comments: For an excellent work out take a hike up Mount Royal. Ask the front desk how to get there-its about a 25 minute uphill walk but worth it for the exercise and excellent panoramic views of the entire area.

Hotel Comments: This is a great overnight in the summer months I'm certain, but a bit chilly the rest of the time. The hotel itself is quite nice if a little older.

Dining Comments: Only thing I'll add is the hotel restaurant closes at 9pm'ish! Doesn't do anyone any good when you are scheduled to arrive by 9:30. There is a small convenient store out the door to the left, on the opposite corner to the hotel. They've got beers and sandwiches and snacks if it's too cold to walk up to the main drag.

Entertainment Comments: What the rest said.

Hotel Comments: The hotel is not too bad. Once you clear Customs and go down the escalator ramp and exit, go to the right and walk all the way to the end to the wall and pick up the WHITE phone and the van will come pick you up in a few minutes at Door 6 (Skyport is the name of the van service). About a 15-20 minute drive from the airport during off-peak times and up to 30 minutes with traffic, so plan accordingly for your showtime because it is a very, very LONG walk from the airport door to the gate. The hotel has a decent restaurant. Gym is so-so. They also have a massage place and a place to get a hair cut right in the hotel. Free wireless internet, make sure to get a code from the front desk. It gets VERY cold in the winter time so pack so extra warm clothes.

Dining Comments: A ton of places to eat on St. Catherine's and also on Crescent St (where most chain restaurants and bars are located). There's a place to suit any taste, if you can't find it, just keep walking and you'll eventually find something you like.

Entertainment Comments: St. Catherine's St. is the place to be on and visit Old Montreal. Go out of the hotel and cross the street at the traffic light and walk one block up and make a right turn onto St. Catherine's. Plenty of bars, restaurants, clubs, shopping, etc. There's also an underground mall with a movie theater (3-D IMAX), about a 7-10 minute walk when you make that right onto St. Catherine's. There's plenty of things to do. Tundra-like conditions in the winter!

Hotel Comments: Just there again & the hotel people could not have been nicer. Room spotless and with some nice little touches but not fancy. Lots to do in the area. Don't go to black phone anymore. Get off escalator, go right & pick up WHITE phone and walk out the door and wait. Much easier then before.

Dining Comments: Can't remember the names but hotel restaurant food isn't bad and not overly pricey.

Entertainment Comments: Roam the streets or hotel front desk has maps with things to see and do.

Hotel Comments: Very nice hotel. You have to get a code from the front desk for the free internet.

Dining Comments: Go to Crescent Street. Lots of bars and restaurants!

Entertainment Comments: Go to Old Montreal.

Hotel Comments: Good Overnight. (51 hours) The hotel is not bad. Fairly good location, with a very short walk (long city block) up to St. Catherine's St. (Main Strip) Okay mattresses, but great pillows. They put us on the top floor and was very quiet and clean. Fast Wireless. Gym has a crappy universal machine, 1 treadmill, 1 standard and 1 sit down bike. Free weights 5,8,10,15,20,25,45 lbs.

Dining Comments: Good Coffee shop chain called Second Cup on St. Catherine's about 1 block east. As stated before lots of restaurants on this street. Went to a good brewery on the corner of Crescent and St. Cath's called 3 B????

Entertainment Comments: Lots a good night clubs for the Staten Island Fans on Bishop north of St. Cath's. Also, Good Irish Pubs up and down both Bishop and Crescent north and south of St. Caths. Bring some coin though.

Hotel Comments: Fair.

Dining Comments: The hotel has a hot spread for breakfast. After I ate it I found out it cost over $13! with discount of 10%

Entertainment Comments: Casino.

Hotel Comments: Decent hotel, a little run down, but ok rooms. Hard bed, but good pillows. Lots of bars and such close by. Free internet, but a little slow. Get code from front desk. 15 min to airport, a little longer if traffic. loooong walk in airport...

Dining Comments: Did not venture out, too cold, but seems like ok selection

Entertainment Comments: Crapy gym in basement, 2 bikes, one treadmill and a small multi-machine w/very little weight on it...
September 10, 2006
Hotel Comments: What everybody else has said, except we were told area 5. We never did see the black phone but called direct instead. A van was there within minutes. Slow internet, but free with the code from the front desk. The code seems to expire after a few hours so you just have to get a new code 5 minutes after the old one expires. Crazy canucks! The ironing boards are a joke; don't even bother trying to iron anything. The board itself is about two feet long, and the legs are all of three inches long.

Dining Comments: Too rainy and cold to check anything out.

Entertainment Comments: Turn on the TV and learn French?
August 25, 2006
Hotel Comments: Go to Spot 6, pick up the black phone and say your there...Skyport Transportation will take you 20 minute drive to hotel. Verify pick-up the next day -- they are always messing up on this.

Dining Comments: A myraid of places to eat on St. Catherine's and Crescent St. I really liked lunch at a Thai cuisine that is achieved by taking a left off St. Matheius onto St. Catherines.

Entertainment Comments: Exit the hotel, cross the Levesque Blvd on St. Mathieus to St. Catherines street, take a right and see the most amazing shopping. A must go is Simons, a family owned department store with reasonably priced and fashionable clothing -- it will amaze you. Cresent Street is where the action is act, and furthermore in other locations --
