Hotel Comments: New hotel for B-757 AMS crew. Very close to Leidesplein and next door to the Marriott hotel. Next to the large Vondelpark. Rooms are large with comfortable beds with goose down comforters. Small bathrooms but nicely appointed. Coffee maker/hot water in room. Hair dryer. Heat and AC works well. Windows open wide! Carpeting in hallways has some stains. Shoe shine machines by the elevators. Crew room across the hallway from Room 105. One PC available with 15 mins access per access code (on small pieces of paper). Crew room has two wireless networks, neither of which worked for several of our crew members! Might be a technical problem for the IT people? Overall, hotel is very nice and great location.

Dining Comments: Discounted breakfast buffet in lobby for 14.50 Euro. Hot and cold. Very close to Leidesplein plaza and Restaurant Row. Every conceivable ethnic type of food available! Tons of choices! BBQ Castell is a crew favorite, there's also Cafe Klos, Argentinian steak house, Thai, Indonesian, you name it! Large underground supermarket in the park by the museums. It is behind the other layover hotel and by the Van Gogh Museum.

Entertainment Comments: AMS is a fantastic city! So many choices of fun things to do. Across the street/canal from this hotel you can catch a canal boat tour of the city, dinner cruises. Anne Frank House, RLD, Dam Square, Vondelpark, rent a bike or Vespa. Keukenhof Gardens is 15 miles from downtown. Open until 21 May. Over 7 million tulips and they are having their 60th Anniversary this year. A sight to behold for anyone who enjoys flowers, gardens, beautiful scenery and/or photography. Get out and enjoy Amsterdam!
