Hotel Comments: Staff was very nice to us. Van driver took us to the outlet mall for free. I asked if there was a microwave I could use and they brought one to my room.

Dining Comments: If you walk past the outlet mall there is a great BBQ place called Jim N' Nick's and quite a few options.

Entertainment Comments: The internet is quite slow.

Hotel Comments: Manager's Customer Appreciation Hour on Wednesday's from 5-7. Free beer, wine, bar drinks, and free hamburgers, hot dogs, and fruit plates.

Dining Comments: Van will take you to several are restaurants. We dined at Chili's.

Entertainment Comments: Very nice outdoor pool area.

Hotel Comments: Decent Hotel with good beds and free wireless. Nothing much to do within walking distance, but the shuttle drivers are usually happy to give you a ride anywhere you want to go within reason. There's a large outdoor outlet mall nearby (Tanger's) that the shuttle goes to and picks up on demand. Plenty of places there to shop and eat, including a Walmart super center if you're really bored. The gym is decent with brand-new Life-Fitness cardio equipment, but the weight equipment is lacking, with only a set of dumbbells up to 50lbs and some cable-based trainer.

Dining Comments: Hotel-Moniker's Tanger's: Subway, Sborro, some Chinese place Nearby (shuttle ride) Buffalo wild wings, Red Lobster, Fast food, more Chinese.

Entertainment Comments: TV. Workout, pool. Counteract working out by drinking beer at Buffalo wild wings.

Hotel Comments: This could be a "10" hotel if the location was good. We have to get something better in such a great town. The only thing around the hotel is a fence and a highway. Absolutely nothing in walking distance. Hotel shuttle used to go downtown a few times a day for $7.50. NOW it only goes ONCE at 6pm/pickup at 10:30pm, for $10! They were nice enough to call a cab which charged a flat rate $16 one way. You're better off renting a car. There has to be something downtown, right?

Dining Comments: Tons and tons downtown. None near the hotel. Van will take you to a strip mall/outlet mall area if they're not busy with airport runs.

Entertainment Comments: Check out King Street Grill. Pretty good cheap food, lots of t.v.'s. Probably great for football season.

Hotel Comments: Wednesday's Only 5-7pm the hotel offers free appetizers and alcohol! You can't beat that.

Dining Comments: If your willing to play frogger across a few lanes of highway, there's a Red Lobster up the road.

Entertainment Comments: The pool area is really nice, otherwise there's nothing significant around the hotel for entertainment.
July 31, 2008
Hotel Comments: Free WiFi, nice pool, in the middle of nowhere surrounded by super highways with a nice chain-link fence just to drive home the point that you're stuck. Don't worry though the hotel is only a mere $20-35 cab ride away from one of the best downtown areas in America.

Dining Comments: The hotel restaurant.

Entertainment Comments: Internet, the pool, sleep.

Hotel Comments: Hotel is fair to o.k. has a lot of gatherings on the weekends so it can get loud. O.k staff. My bed was pretty worn.... good pillows though. Decent free internet. Nice outdoor pool. Van runs every 20 mins. The gym is pretty much all cardio... nice cardio though. Free weights only 50 lbs.

Dining Comments: Only thing within walking dist is red lobster. Van was o.k. about taking us other places.

Entertainment Comments: Sleep, watch t.v., hang out by pool or get a cardio workout.
May 21, 2008
Hotel Comments: Hotel is pretty nice. Fast, free wireless.

Dining Comments: Time for a little walk....about 15-20 minutes away is a Panera, Quiznos, and Starbucks.

Entertainment Comments: Bring your laptop.
July 21, 2007
Hotel Comments: It sucks. We got rid of it on the past because it sucks... Now it's back.

Dining Comments: Bring it with you.

Entertainment Comments: Nothing.

Hotel Comments: Hotel is modern and ok. The nighttime van driver was grossly incompetent. He wasted at least 45 minutes of our night due to tardiness. The van driver the next day was ok.

Dining Comments: There's a couple crappy fast food options across the freeway, such as a Bojangles attached to a gas station. There is a sidewalk across the overpass and along the main road, but the area is not generally pedestrian-friendly. There's a big sportsbar called Sportz Cafe (3025 W Montague Ave). It's a half mile walk from the hotel, and has hot staff and a decent menu. That's about it.

Entertainment Comments: Drink beer, if you're lucky.

Hotel Comments: It's a Sheraton, so nice beds. Work out facility is slightly above average for a hotel. Terrible internet service in the room, worked good in the lobby though.

Dining Comments: If you can handle the walk in the summertime, go to the Tanger Outlet mall. Plenty of places to eat as well as a Walmart type place.

Entertainment Comments: See above.
April 4, 2007
Hotel Comments: Wireless internet is the worst I have ever seen. One computer in the business center. The front desk has some internet bridges that might help you get service in your room.

Dining Comments: outlet mall area has a few places.

Entertainment Comments: jack

Hotel Comments: Actually a really bad overnight because of the location of the hotel and the rude hotel staff. The hotel is a Sheraton - nice beds - but little else. The location is terrible. Literally nothing is within walking distance and there is no transportation available without a charge. The hotel charges you $7.50 per person, round trip, to go downtown. But be flexible because their van is rarely available to take you anywhere.

Dining Comments: None. Order pizza.

Entertainment Comments: Absolutely nothing.
December 12, 2006
Hotel Comments: Wireless is free and works well. Beds are good. Round trip to downtown is $15 via hotel shuttle.

Dining Comments: Hotel restaurant is only real option... I can see a waffle house across the highway with no way to get over there.

Entertainment Comments: Charleston has a really nice historic downtown... and safer than Savannah with lots of other hotels.
June 20, 2006
Hotel Comments: Nice Sheraton...period. Wireless is based in Mexico somewhere so you have a totally horrible signal.

Dining Comments: NOTHING

Entertainment Comments: even more of NOTHING
