Dining Comments: A bunch; chains & small places, the Acroplis Greek restaurant right behind the hotel was REALLY good. There is also a great natural foods grocery behind the hotel, closer than the regular grocery store.
Entertainment Comments: Many restaurants and bars, neighborhoods to walk around in, gym, massage envy. Enough to keep oneself entertained for the unexpected 40 hour overnight.

Dining Comments: There are tons of places to eat literally outside the front door of the hotel and others within less than 3 minute walk. You got Chophouse 47 (seriously expensive steakhouse), California Dreaming, Logan's Roadhouse, Joe's Crab Shack, On The Border Mexican, Macaroni Grill, Chick Fillet, Hardee's, Sholatzky's Deli, McDonald's, Moe's Southwest Grill, Jack In The Box, El Ranchero Mexican, and Starbucks, etc.
Entertainment Comments: Eat, sleep, and watch t.v., Otherwise, didn't see too many attractions or things to do.

Dining Comments: Lots of big chain restaurants around but the best seems to be the mom & pop Mexican joint and Greek place (www.acropolisonpelham.com) in the strip mall behind the hotel.
Entertainment Comments: NONE

Dining Comments: Tons to chose from like everyone's mentioned before. Do not recommend the Chinese buffet. It looked popular and was recommended but for $12.50 each, the food is marginal at best. The pizza place you walk past on the way to the buffet is 10 times better, tons of beers on tap and like $9 pitchers. If you want a greasy, amazingly awesome burger, the Five Guys is great. Kind of reminded me of an East Coast take on In-N-Out Burger (for those of you familiar with the glory and splendor that is In-N-Out Burger). Get the Cajun fries, you will NOT be disappointed.
Entertainment Comments: This is where this overnight falls short. There are several strip malls, a Wal-Mart and a movie theater (I think) along Pelham Rd. but that is really about it. If you can get downtown there are tons of bars and things to do. About a $20 cab ride each way. Don't know if the van will take you but I doubt it.

Dining Comments: Tons of places. I've been to On the Border for dinner, which was good. On Friday night, Logan's next door to the hotel has the bar open for a long time (at least 2am). I can also support the vote for El Ranchero for lunch! That place is up the street to the left in the strip and has very tasty Mexican food. Non-stringy meat, tasty food all around for $8 out the door.
Entertainment Comments: Didn't see much, besides taking a walk.

Dining Comments: Tons of places to eat right outside of the door.
Entertainment Comments: This is where the hotel really suffers. The old GSP hotel had a movie theater and mall right up the road along with all manner of restaurants if a person just walked for about 5 minutes. Now, you can eat all day, but that is it because there is absolutely nothing within walking distance in any direction from this place. I think GSP is a victim of people not getting out and looking around so now we have more food choices but nothing else.

Dining Comments: Logan's Roadhouse, Macaroni Grill, several fast food joints, California Dream (looked like a generic Applebee's-type menu), Chophouse47 if you're into spending some dough.
Entertainment Comments: Didn't really see much around except restaurants. Might have been a mall nearby but I didn't check it out. Gym was small and I think all they had was a hot tub, no pool.
