Interview experience:

Typical flight attendant open house. They went over company information, pay, benefits, that it was a Detroit base, etc. There were quite a few FAs there helping with the interviews. Probably about 30 people. We got up and said our names, how we heard of spirit, what we can do for spirit, why we want to fly, and a example of your customer service skills. Following a break they posted numbers on the wall of the people they wanted back, which turned out to be all but 2. Following a break to fill out applications, we were interviewed. I had 2 FAs conduct my interview. It was SO easy. They asked 3 questions, and in fact, I didn't even finish my response to the question of "What would you do if you had an issue/altercation with another FA onboard an aircraft?" before they said "Welcome to Spirit". Filled out the final paperwork and got fingerprinted before getting sent to a nearby Concentra for a drug/alcohol test (luckily I befriended a local woman at the interview who had a car since I was from Seattle and this was in Detroit). Did my drug screen, and Spirit said we will call you in a few weeks with your training date which will be in Ft Lauderdale. WEEKS went by and I still hadn't heard from them. Meanwhile I had applied, interviewed and had a set training date with Mesaba Airlines. I was into my 3 week of training when Spirit called me with my ITINERARY to get to training. I didn't even get the DATE before they were trying to tell me what flights to take. Needless to say, it was now June (2 months later) and since I was working at a company I really wanted to be with, I told Spirit that I wasn't interested anymore.

to get the remaining 2 gouges on Spirit Airlines.
