Interview experience:

This Company is very much in the beggining phases... The open house in Newark, NJ was like any other flight attendant open house. All the managers from each dept were there, HR, Training Dept, flight attendant supervisors and mgrs. The turn-out was very small about 12 people. They are looking to fill about 120 positions in the next 90 days, with bases in PHL, EWR and ORD sometimes in Jan 2002. They currently have only one aircraft another aircraft will be delivered one each month until they have 15. All aircraft are brand new with all coach configuration. When you arrive you'll fill out an application before the process begins. Which then they will discuss future plans, destinations, pay. No written tests are involved at the open house. Training is in PHL and some trng will be in MIA or ORD. After each one of the management team has spoken and questions answered, you'll be asked to come to the front and tell them a little about yourself. Emphsize SAFETY... they know already you love to fly, and you love people..SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY.. After everyone has gotten their turn, a short break before the interviews begin. 1/ why do you want to work for us? 2/ what is your strengths? 3/ your weaknesses 4/ tell me about a confrontation you had with a co-worker and how dod you handle it. 5/ tell me you qualifications for this position? The whole process was very laid back but, none the less be very professional and please wear a suit. It amazes me me how man people show up in kakis and a polo shirt. And, some ladies dressed like their going to a night club, didnt bother any but, you are going to be interviewed, dress professional. They will offer you 2 choices, the up coming training class or to be put on a waiting list for a future training classes. If your interviewer tells you they will contact you in 1 week, basically you'll be recieving a rejection letter. If you didnt impress them at this point you you didnt get the position. As far as my situation Im on the waiting list. Good luck! it sounds like a very good company to work for as long as they can survive.
