Hotel Comments: The renovations are complete and what a difference! The hotel is so much better than it was a few months ago. It's practically brand new and very updated and modern, but most importantly comfortable. None of the crappy Holiday Inn look and feel. Hotel now has wireless internet throughout the hotel. The rooms have been remodeled and now feature Sleep Number Beds (if you don't like the Sleep Number Beds, you can ask the front desk to change your room for a "normal" bed because I was told that the hotel has 10% of the rooms that have "normal" beds and rest are Sleep Number). There is a business center with computers and printers in main lobby. The lobby now has a nice "lounge" feel to it. The pool has been completely renovated and so has the hot tub. There's also a new gym/fitness center near the pool area. Also near the pool area, there's another lounge/sitting area with plasma TV, etc. There's also pool tables and arcade games in the same area as well.
Dining Comments: Good number of choices to choose from. The hotel restaurant is pretty good and offers crews 20% discount. It is now named The Traveling Fork. Good selection of food and drinks (happy hour 5-7pm). There's a Red Robin across the street as well as some "gourmet" sandwich place and a Thai restaurant near there as well. Also across from the hotel is a mall which has a few places to eat, like Bar Louie's, Max & Erma's, California Pizza Kitchen, Subway, etc.
Entertainment Comments: Not much to do besides the mall and a movie theater nearby. The van driver will take you within like 5 miles, but the vans are normally pretty busy so you might wait for a while to get a ride. The hotel is located in the suburbs so there's basically no public transportation nearby and it's about 25 minutes to the city, so if you're looking to go into the city itself, it'll cost you some cash to take a cab there. Otherwise...eat, drink, sleep, shop, swim, workout, play pool, play arcades, watch t.v., or surf the net.
Hotel Comments: O.K.
Dining Comments: Mall
Entertainment Comments: Ask the hotel van driver to take you to Bahama Breeze you wont regret it.
Hotel Comments: Hotel is still undergoing pretty heavy renovations, but most of it has been done and it is a HUGE improvement from a few months ago. The pool looks completely new, as well as the gym which has all new equipment, plasma TV's, dumb-bells. There are also pool tables now.
The rooms have been completely renovated and are now really nice.... like Hilton nice. Sleepnumber beds, free internet...not bad at all.
Dining Comments: Plenty of places to eat. Shanahans in the hotel has pretty good food, great beer selection and the prices are pretty good. Plenty of other places across the street at the mall. Bar Louie's, Max & Erma's, California Pizza Kitchen, food court with Subway etc.
Entertainment Comments: Not a whole lot. Like mentioned before, there's the mall and the movie theater.
Hotel Comments: Place is now called Radisson. It's still the same location, but different company. Still smells and feels like most Holiday Inns. I will reserve my comments for later as the hotel is under major renovations which hopefully will improve it. As of now, I think the is not so hot, but hopefully will improve after renovations.
Dining Comments: Good food at the restaurant/bar in the hotel, plus plenty of places across the street in the mall and a few others within walking distance.
Entertainment Comments: The mall across the street.
Hotel Comments: Now a Radisson Hotel. It has sleep number beds.
Dining Comments: There's some ok stuff. Jimmy John's across the street if you're cheap.
Entertainment Comments: There's a bar called "Bar Louie" or something like that at the nearest mall entrance. Wasn't too bad.
Hotel Comments: Name changed to Radisson. Same location next to the mall.
Dining Comments: Restaurant in hotel used to have discount. Across the highway and in the Mall there are a few places to eat.
Entertainment Comments: Take a taxi downtown.
Hotel Comments: Hotel sucks. My wallpaper was peeling off, hot water was cold. Carpet was stained, beds smelled funny.
Dining Comments: Shannahan's Pub in the lobby isn't bad. Tony Roma's is no more.
Entertainment Comments: Absoufreakinloutely nothing.
Hotel Comments: Not too bad of an overnight. Clean rooms. If you are really late the hotel will tell you to take a taxi and they'll pay for it. 20-25 minute drive.
Dining Comments: 10 minute walk to:
LaShish Lebanese: excellent
Entertainment Comments: Hang out at Panera, read newspapers, drink coffee and eat the very chocolate brownie.
Hotel Comments: Decent hotel. Has putting green, ping pong table, and arcade games right in the middle of hotel atrium
Dining Comments: Tony Romas, Round Ground, California Pizza Kitchen, Red Robin
Entertainment Comments: Walk around mall, see movies
Hotel Comments: Hotel is a standard "Holidome" Holiday Inn.
It is a little far from the airport, but the van is pretty reliable.
Dining Comments: There is a mall across the street with a California Pizza Kitchen, as well as other eat establishments
Entertainment Comments: The Mall does have a full movie theater.
