Hotel Comments: Hotel is average but lots to do
Dining Comments: Tons get of you behind and walk around
Entertainment Comments: Cab to downtown or get with Dwayne from the shuttle company that drives us and he will take you to the Hula Hut and other things. If going to 6th street the people dress up a little. Women actually wear dresses and look good.
Hotel Comments: Wireless is only free downstairs in the Lobby. They tell you up front that it is not free for us, cause it is not in our contract.
Dining Comments: Chilis down the road
Entertainment Comments: nothing much
Hotel Comments: Not a bad place. As you've heard we aren't downtown, but a cab ride is only around 10 bucks to get to downtown. Ask the van driver if they can take you. We asked and they said "Give us about a half hour". We waited and they took us, but keep in mind they are college kids that run the valet/van service, so tip them well. Just be flexible with the time and it will work out.
Dining Comments: Make a right out of the hotel and there is a Fuddruckers and a Japanese steak house. Walk past all of those and go to Bikini Bar and Grill (BBG's). Imagine a family owned Hooters with UT girls in bikinis serving a good selection of beer and good food. Nice place and great option if you have enough time to kill but don't want the hassle of going downtown. (About a 5 minute walk, and they have the NFL Sunday Ticket - great place to watch football)
Entertainment Comments: I guess there is a mall next to the hotel, but I'm not a girl.
Hotel Comments: One of the worst hotels in the system if you are on a long overnight. I would rather stay at an airport hotel. $10.00 for the internet, uncomfortable beds, shuttle will not take you anywhere worth going to, 25 minute van ride.
Dining Comments: chilies
Entertainment Comments: Watch traffic, try your chances with a walk at night, take a $15.00 cab ride into civilization
Hotel Comments: Free high-speed wireless in the lobby only-not in the room. Nice hotel with outdoor pool and hot tub. Not in downtown Austin anymore.
Dining Comments: Papasitos and Pappadeux next door. More across the street (van ride)
Entertainment Comments: Mall and movie theatre across the street
