Hotel Comments: Clean, Quiet, Nice all around hotel. Free breakfast and fast internet. Not a big fan of strip mall America where it's located, but there are a bunch of places within a short walk.

Dining Comments: Lots of big chain restaurants around but the best seems to be the mom & pop Mexican joint and Greek place (www.acropolisonpelham.com) in the strip mall behind the hotel.

Entertainment Comments: NONE

Hotel Comments: Have stayed at this hotel a few times now and am really starting to like it. If a clean, comfy room, choices of where to eat, having a few things to walk around to if you get bored, free breakfast, free internet and a fast van are important to you then you'll like it too. The front desk girl was as nice as you could ask for but...... We had the 26 hour overnight (but only stayed there for one night) and she couldn't figure out how to make a room key that would let us into our rooms after noon the second day we were there. After we tried to tell her that she should just make the key for 2 nights she decided it was easier to go up to our rooms individually and let us in. Here's your sign...

Dining Comments: Tons to chose from like everyone's mentioned before. Do not recommend the Chinese buffet. It looked popular and was recommended but for $12.50 each, the food is marginal at best. The pizza place you walk past on the way to the buffet is 10 times better, tons of beers on tap and like $9 pitchers. If you want a greasy, amazingly awesome burger, the Five Guys is great. Kind of reminded me of an East Coast take on In-N-Out Burger (for those of you familiar with the glory and splendor that is In-N-Out Burger). Get the Cajun fries, you will NOT be disappointed.

Entertainment Comments: This is where this overnight falls short. There are several strip malls, a Wal-Mart and a movie theater (I think) along Pelham Rd. but that is really about it. If you can get downtown there are tons of bars and things to do. About a $20 cab ride each way. Don't know if the van will take you but I doubt it.

Hotel Comments: Hotel is pretty good, comfy beds, clean, nice staff. Gym has two treadmills that seem to work & an ancient stair stepper. Nautilus machine missing a few pins. But if you are a runner or walker the sidewalk on Pelham Rd. goes for at least 4 or 5 miles & is pretty & safe.

Dining Comments: A bunch; chains & small places, the Acroplis Greek restaurant right behind the hotel was REALLY good. There is also a great natural foods grocery behind the hotel, closer than the regular grocery store.

Entertainment Comments: Many restaurants and bars, neighborhoods to walk around in, gym, massage envy. Enough to keep oneself entertained for the unexpected 40 hour overnight.

Hotel Comments: What more could you ask for from an overnight and hotel! Here's the basics: 1. The van is fast - little to no wait, last night we got in an hour late from EWR and the van was waiting for us at the curb - they actually flight track us (imagine that!) 2. The rooms are nice, great beds, new flat screen LG TVs and free internet. 3. Free breakfast - it's good 4. Location is awesome. About 2 dozen restaurants within 5 min walk. Walmart, CVS, Quickie Mart, Walgreens, Starbucks, chinese buffet, California Dreaming, Logans Steakhouse, Joe's Crabshack, MdD's, Hardees, Jack in Box, Lenny's sub shop, 2 Japanese tempura shops, 2 grocery stores, and about 10 more 5. Whole in the wall bar - Crocs - about 3 min walk. Total dump - I mean DUMP, but $3 beers and tons of cute girls. Dance floor and 2 pool tables. Fantastic hotel and location. About the only things I didn't find on my walk were a gym and movie theater.

Hotel Comments: Comfortable beds. Pool outside, hot tub inside. Standard workout room with treadmills, etc. Breakfast in the morning. Van every 20 minutes, short ride.

Dining Comments: Tons of places. I've been to On the Border for dinner, which was good. On Friday night, Logan's next door to the hotel has the bar open for a long time (at least 2am). I can also support the vote for El Ranchero for lunch! That place is up the street to the left in the strip and has very tasty Mexican food. Non-stringy meat, tasty food all around for $8 out the door.

Entertainment Comments: Didn't see much, besides taking a walk.

Hotel Comments: Nice hotel, fairly clean and quiet.

Dining Comments: Tons of places to eat right outside of the door.

Entertainment Comments: This is where the hotel really suffers. The old GSP hotel had a movie theater and mall right up the road along with all manner of restaurants if a person just walked for about 5 minutes. Now, you can eat all day, but that is it because there is absolutely nothing within walking distance in any direction from this place. I think GSP is a victim of people not getting out and looking around so now we have more food choices but nothing else.

Hotel Comments: One of the better hotels we stay at, def. better than the Crown Plaza we used to stay at. It's about a 10 minute van ride from the airport and the van runs every 20 minutes. Hotel is clean and comfortable, looks like it's been renovated recently. Rooms have a microwave, a mini fridge, coffee maker, and a large LCD flat-panel TV with plenty of channels to watch. Hotel offers free wireless and wired internet, business center, gym, hot tub (no pool), and a large variety of free breakfast (hot and cold) that's served from 6-10am.

Dining Comments: There are tons of places to eat literally outside the front door of the hotel and others within less than 3 minute walk. You got Chophouse 47 (seriously expensive steakhouse), California Dreaming, Logan's Roadhouse, Joe's Crab Shack, On The Border Mexican, Macaroni Grill, Chick Fillet, Hardee's, Sholatzky's Deli, McDonald's, Moe's Southwest Grill, Jack In The Box, El Ranchero Mexican, and Starbucks, etc.

Entertainment Comments: Eat, sleep, and watch t.v., Otherwise, didn't see too many attractions or things to do.

Hotel Comments: Great hotel. Free cookies and free hot breakfast.

Dining Comments: On the Border! Great mex food! and many other fine restaurants.

Entertainment Comments: Eat,drink, sleep, what else?

Hotel Comments: Very friendly.. Van will drive you anywhere.. Large weight room now and outdoor pool... This place is much better than the Crown Plaza...

Dining Comments: El Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant next to the Health Food Supermarket... $3.75 32oz. Dos equis.. Great Margaritas and lunch specials for 6 dollars that feed two people...

Entertainment Comments: Everything....

Hotel Comments: One of the better Wingates I've been too. Free wireless in the rooms and free breakfast, very comfy bed. Looks like its been recently remodeled. New furniture in the rooms, flat screen television, large breakfast area. They said breakfast was from 6-10am but we had the 520am van and everything was available (waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bagels, coffee, juice, etc). There are lot of restaurants within walking distance but if you like Chiefs Firewater like I do for wings and a lively bar, you're going to be disappointed. Not much else that I saw entertainment wise but the van might take you some place.

Dining Comments: Logan's Roadhouse, Macaroni Grill, several fast food joints, California Dream (looked like a generic Applebee's-type menu), Chophouse47 if you're into spending some dough.

Entertainment Comments: Didn't really see much around except restaurants. Might have been a mall nearby but I didn't check it out. Gym was small and I think all they had was a hot tub, no pool.
