Hotel Comments: Ok, this is not a bad long overnight. The hotel is nice, the restaurant gives us a %25 discount. The best part is that there is a golf course next to the airport. They have a driving range and a full 18 hole course. If you want to hit balls, it is $6 for two bags of balls or $4 for one bag. They gave me clubs for free. The snack bar serves all sorts of food and has $2.50 beers or $12 six packs and they even give you a cooler to take to the driving range or course with you!!! It took me about 10-15 mins to walk to the course from the hotel. The airport is not busy and traffic is minimal.
Dining Comments: The Grill downstairs
Entertainment Comments: Golf course
Hotel Comments: The hotel is actually part of the airport so great for short overnights. Not too good for long ones since you are a long way from downtown. Better get a rental car. Some rooms with microwave and fridge but you have to ask. Free wired internet.
Dining Comments: The Grille, 25% off. Kelly is a great waitress. That's about it.
Entertainment Comments: There is a municipal golf course within walking distance, free greens fees if you ask at the front desk of the hotel. Renting a cart is $15 per person, club rental thrown in if you say you are airline crew. Not a great course, but practically free.
Hotel Comments: Nice, clean and surprisingly quiet for an airport hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.
Dining Comments: Not much to choose from, but the 25% discount makes the hotel restaurant/bar pretty reasonable. Best of all, we get our 2 dollar beer deal there. Show the bartender your id and get drafts and the basics (Bud/B. Light etc) for 2 bucks. The pizzas are good and you can load them up with all the toppings you want for the same price.
Entertainment Comments: Definitely recommend renting a car. Travelocity or one of the other sites will get you a car for the day for 25 to 30 bucks including fees - then you can go exploring. You can park your rental for free in the hotel's parking lot with your room key. There's the Space Center up the road towards town (you'll pass the Walmart by the hotel we used to stay in), you can't miss it with the giant Saturn V out front, and numerous parks and state forests.
Sadly, in the hotel itself not much. A basic fitness center with a couple treadmills and a combo machine or go through security and wander around the airport.
Hotel Comments: The hotel is nice but a little freaky, no one is around, I called the front desk and no one answered.
Dining Comments: Bridge street is a nice shopping area with a PF Changs, several other restaurants and a movie theater. Do yourself a favor and rent a cheep car if you go. My FO and I spent 26 bucks EACH WAY.
Entertainment Comments: Rent a car and explore. Good museum close by
Hotel Comments: Clean hotel. It's in the airport terminal. Walk outside security and there's the front desk overlooking security. The hotel's bar/restaurant is right there in the terminal. Might be nice for a short overnight, but for 20 hrs, it is pure BS...
They have no shuttle, so you're stuck with the hotel restaurant(25% off) or the airport fare, or a cab. According to the receptionist (who was very nice) the closest thing is the super Walmart, about 6 miles away.
Dining Comments: Hotel restaurant.
Entertainment Comments: Free internet (wired). Watch tv. Stare at the walls. Admire the view of the parking garage out the window.
