Interview experience:

Had an interview With ASA in July 2001. It starts off with the introduction of the company, which last for approximately one hour. Your log books are taken during this time to be reviewed by a captain who will interview you. After the introduction every one is taken down the hall for the drug screening. When you return you either take the 30 question written test or go do the interview which ever comes first. On my test I had the following questions. 1. What is a EADI? I was not sure on this one 2. Which entry is required to enter a hold at xyz vor? they give you a heading and radial. However note the Required word. there is no requirement to enter a hold using the three methods. it is only recommended. my answer was none of the above.3. what does the BKN mean in cloud cover in a Metar. My answer was 5/8. 4. what is not a basic attitude instrument during an instrument flight? answer was magnetic compass. 5.there was a question about a turbo prop departing minimum speed that ATC can require. I think the answer was 170 on the knots. Unfortunately I can not remember all of them. Know your taxi way signs and meanings, runway markings, critical hold short lines.etc.This test was created by interns, and there are several different versi
