Interview experience:
Sent application in by email and fax 1/8/04, got called 1/16/04. Got a standby ticket to DFW the night before interview. Stayed at La Quinta at applicant rate first night, second night paid by Eagle. Day 1,did sim ride first in Saab 340 Sim. They normally use 707 sim, but it was busy. Same profile no matter which aircraft. T/O rnwy 24R LAX. Climb mtn 5,000. All they want you to do is push the levers fwd and call"set T/O power/Thrust. Evaluator/FO calls Vspeeds. Rotate/ Positive rate Capt:"Gear Up". 1000Ft: Capt:"Flaps Up, Set Climb Thrust 5,500fflo(707) or 65%Tqe(340). Callout 1000ft to go and 100ft to go. Leveloff- Bring the delta on the attitude indicator to level, trim, retard the levers a bit and call"set cruise power". You turn L 280, then L again to intercept SLI 250 radial inbound. Capt: "Tune ID SLI VOR and Set inbound Cours
