Interview experience:
First off let me say this was a great interview experience. The interview is broken into three distinct phases. In phase one Ed Braz, the Assistant CP, gives you the nickel tour and talks about the company history/future/benefits/etc. He then gives you the HR interview questions, which is read off a prepared sheet. I assume he has multiple versions so not everybody gets the same questions. I got the typical HR questions such as why Cape Air, tell me about any pet peeves, how did you handle a professional conflict, etc. Also some situational questions - how would you handle a ramp agent who didn't load bags the way you requested? How would you handle a passenger who was freaking out due to lighting in the distance? Would you help call the passengers if there was no gate agent available? What would you do if you saw another captain breaking SOPs? There were others but that's all I can remember. I
