FREE airline interview information for Scenic Airlines
Interview experience:
I flew in the night before and would recommend staying at the Fiesta hotel which is right across from the airport (KVGT). The interview started off at 8 am. I was greeted by the receptionist and met another candidate. Everyone was friendly and it is a good atmosphere. We started off by taking a 30 question exam right out of the ATP. Previous reports are correct in that there are no performance charts or other calculations. Then we continued to fill out the application. Have a 10 background history with you. As we are doing this we are greeted by Everett who is running the sim. It's on a volunteer basis who wants to go next. They offer a practice session in the sim the day before if you would like. I did not do this and think it would help but is not necessary. The sim is an ATC 820 (I think it's 820). For me the biggest thing was getting a feel for how the sim handled. My sim time is all in Frasca sims and this one is alot heavier on the controls. Be careful with rudders. They take more force than you would think but more importantly make sure your feet are on the bottom of the pedals so you don't hit the brakes on the t/o roll.
