Interview experience:
This was one tough interview!! There were 15 people in the interview. 2 got sent home early because of unsatisfactory sim performance. The CRM was tough. Not having any crew experience, I wasn’t sure how to delegate duties or properly communicate with dispatch or maintenance. The interviewers know that, but it’s really hard on the nerves when you feel like you’re not too smooth at it. 7 minutes go by quick!!!! You need to make a decision. For me, the time actually ran out before I came to a decision!! Not a good way to start off the interview, but I hung in there. As you all know, you have to evaluate yourself on the performance after the CRM with no feedback whatsoever. The sim wasn’t so bad – I did 3 sessions with Bill Jacobus at SNA, CA and two with Tiffany at American Aviation in SLC. Bill does a much better job, I think.
