Interview experience:
The previous gouges are all very accurate. What I can add is that the interviews are being conducted in Honolulu now and that Island Air does not have any immediate plan to hire pilots in 2002 so the interviews are for their pilot pool. In fact, with the proposed merger of Aloha and Hawaiian Airlines no one is sure what the impact will be on Island Air's operations. Here's the gouge: No simulator evaluation was required. Interview process consists of 4 steps. First, I met with the HR manager and Director of Flight Ops for the interview. HR explained the interview process and mentioned no hiring plans in 2002. In addition to the questions mentioned in prior gouges flt ops asked me to define the ATC instruction "Cruise 9
