Part II from April 28th Post: The sim was pretty srtaight forward. The only gouge I had prior to heading back to Houston was the previous CAL post on this website and everything was "as advertised". You will be greeted in the lobby by your evaluator who will take you upstairs to the MD-80 briefing room. There, he will introduce you to your F.O. (Interseting note - They ask you which seat you want to occupy for the eval. I kinda thought this was a trick question, but I chose the left seat, of course) Your pre-brief lasts about 5 minutes-if that. Your evaluator will gloss over the MD-80 flight deck mock-up and give you an overview of the profile, then he leaves. You have 30 minutes alone in the room with the profile sheet and the mock-up to chair-fly. Some
