Interview experience:

I arrived at SLC the day before and bought an hour at American Aviation. They were friendly, professional, and had a nice gouge packet of their own. The time in the ATC-810 was certainly helpful just because it's a bit odd to fly. Easy, but odd. Stayed at the Candlewood -- no problems there. In, fact they had a free shuttle. The folks at SkyWest were terrific. Obviously all us applicants were nervous, but they did everything they could to help put us at ease -- reminding us that we were not in competition with each other, and that they were hiring, and the jobs were ours to lose. They began by showing us the promotional videos and had a nice lecture overview of where the company is, their growth, and where they are going. Next the written tests were handed out -- a mech. aptitude (ASVAB), and the reg's (part-91 IFR and Part-121 stuff from the ATP written). Throughout the day they would randomly pull us out individually for the sim eval., the HR/Tech. Interview, and the CRM. We were free to poke around within the area, get lunch, etc. while waiting. The sim was straightforward. They handed out a plate (ILS-24R @ LAX, in my case) gave you plenty of time to look it over and set up the navs however you wanted. Issu
