Interview experience:
I received my interview invite by Kim Daniels 13 days prior to the interview date, which encompassed Christmas and New Year holidays – hectic, but doable. I already had the “gouge” packet, and I had studied it off and on for the past month. I stayed with a FedEx bud that lives in Memphis, so I didn’t get to experience the hotel accommodations. I also used my bud’s car the second day and drove myself to the interview building (Bldg D)…very straight forward with MapQuest directions and satellite imagery that I saved and printed from Google Earth of the FedEx complex West of MEM airport. I scheduled my sim prep with AJ 2 days prior to my sim check (per AJ’s recommendation). DAY ONE • Pilot makeup 2 civilian heavy drivers (747 and MD-11) – both freight haulers 1 USAF C-130J driver 1 USN F/A-18 driver (myself) 1 USN P-3 driver Sim Check: • Occurred in the DC-10 • 0600 show for a 0700 box time I had a FedEx bud take me to the trai
