ASA Interview This was a two-day interview. Day One; Arrived for 1300 simulator session. The simulator evaluator met our group and then took us individually to a separate classroom. He looked over my logbooks and then there was a brief oral exam covering several topic areas. FAR: Landing Minimums? max speed for holding at 3000 msl? max speed in class B? under class B? weather and cloud clearance for class B? weather and cloud clearance for a visual approach? Aerodynamics: P-Factor? Critical Engine? VMC and factors affecting it? Charts: MSA? MEA? MAA? Where is the FAF on an ILS? Weather: read a METAR, What are the indications and characteristics of a cold front? Aircraft systems: On your current aircraft describe emergency gear extension, Type and Variant of engine? Then we reassembled as a group and he gave a short brief on the Brasilia simulator.
