Interview experience:
Stay at the Red Roof if able. 100 yards from the flight safety building. Our sim was the first day. I think that the order of this changes sometime as sim time is available. They let me know the order before I came. We had the ATR sim. I hear the Brazilla sim is tougher, but for what they are looking for, you don’t have to fly like Bob Hoover, just keep correcting whatever is off. Quick quiz before you go to the sim. What types of flaps does the airplane you fly have? Airspeed below 10k? What causes a wing to stall? What are the 90 days currency requirements? Airspeed requirement in a class C? The ATR sim is slow to rollout on turns at 30 degrees bank. Lead your turns a little more than the normal 10 degrees to rollout and you’ll be fine. Holds altitude okay. Big EADI. Track a radial to a hold. Some constant speed climbs and descents. At the hold expect and engine failure. The CWP system gives you enough noise to figure out you’ve lost and engine if nothing else. Also, if your partner lost the left engine, expect the right to go bad on you.
