Interview experience:
All the stuff that I read here, prior to my interview, was great to make me feel comfortable, just by knowing what to expect. I thank all those who took the time to write. SkyWest is the only airline that I applied to, after conferring with several Skywest FO's and Captains that I know. All of them seemed to be excited by the job, and encouraged me to apply. I started by visiting the SkyWest web site, and filling out the online application in late Dec 2006. Then, I made reservations to travel up to SLC for their job fair on Jan 3, 2007. I wanted to be in SLC to get a "lay of the land", as opposed to waiting for the job fair to return to Southern California at a later date. To prepare, I took one sim ride in the ATC-810 located at SNA airport on Dec 29, 2006, Then, I signed up for and completed the ATP written exam on Jan 2, 2007 at in Long Beach, California (got a 91 score on the test). The job fair at SLC started at 3pm on Jan 3, 2007, and I almost missed it! I flew up on Skwest from Long Beach, California, and landed at 12:45pm. I rented a car, and went to the hotel to check in.
