Interview experience:
First off I'd like to share by experience prior to the interview. I had heard that Great Lakes was hiring up a storm during the summer. I submitted my first app in August and must have hit the tail end of things. All i received was a thankyou card. I sent another one in October, with the same response. What's the deal? Talked to a few freinds that work for Lakes and they told me that things had cooled off and they would n't be hiring again until after the holidays.
I ended up giving my app to a friend to walk in,in early December, and wouldn't you know it, I was called the very next day for an interview. Internal recommendations seem to be HUGE here!!!
My orginal Interview was for the end of December but was cancelled do to the big storm that went through Denver. I almost lost out on my non- refunable ticket I had purchased to fly out, but luckily the flight was cancelled as well. Lakes only provides space avlbl flights to Den on their own line, otherwise you have to find your own way to the interview.
Rescheduled for Jan 11, and thought it would be postponed again due to more hostile weather, but made it in this time. The interview was on par with the rest of the gouges. Watch out though, the interview is a
