Interview experience:
This was my first pilot interview, I had been trying to get an interview with Great Lakes for two years. It was a short notice interview and I should have been more prepared. I pretty much crammed for 3 nights studying the AIM, FAR’s, Jepp approach plates, systems of aircraft I had flown recently, etc.. I met with Jeff Pomeroy (Chief Pilot) and Christine Smith, they were both very nice, however this didn’t stop me from being nervous ( a little too nervous I think). The first thing Jeff asked was , how did you get here? Etc. Then; Tell me about yourself and end it with why Great Lakes? Give me five attributes of a professional pilot, Do you consider yourself a professional pilot? Why are you a good candidate for Great Lakes? What would your manager now say about you if we called and asked? What is the hardest thing about instructing? Have you ever had a bad experience instructing?Click here to view all 141 interviews for Great Lakes Airlines
