Interview experience:
I did my interview a little bit differently than others. I went to a job fair at KORD after sending in a online app. I was email with an offer to interview and chose to go to the job fair rather than to DFW. It all starts with a very detailed presentation (Karen) at 10:00a where they cover everything from company history to benefits. One thing that they make very clear is that by coming to the job fair you already have the job unless you blow it. Also they are wanting to hire 700+ pilots in 2008 and they are hiring to all bases and equip. except KLAX and KMIA. Some things that can also keep you from interviewing are: fail 121 training w/ in 5 years, DUI in 5 years, Not flown in a couple of years, been out of the industry for some time, and not inst. current. If you pass all that then they pre-screen after then presentation. Myself and 5 others didn't do this because they knew we were coming. Basically from what i understand is that they ask you history and some of those factors that may eliminate you. Our field went from about 40 to 19 at that time. Lots of age in the crowd and i think that some weren't in the industry for some time. At 1:30 we all met back in the meeting room after about a 1 and a half hour lunch
