AE The other gouge reports are spot on. I just got back from my interview and here's some additional points to review. I was very nervous since it was my first. Not to worry! Know what people are telling you, and it will be over in 10-15 minutes...and that's good! Picture your regional airline pilot buddies getting together to 'play examiner' for your instrument oral using Jepps, spiced up with 121 regs. Really. They were even plain clothes. A line pilot from each aircraft was represented, and each interview is a one on one. They rotate and you get a different pilot for each interview. All are very friendly and try to put you at ease. I got a conditional job offer pending my medical & background check. Tech: The gouge tells you what you should know. In addition, they want to see if you can make sense of it AND apply it in the 121 realm. They give you an airport diagram. Know all the little symbols! Asked about taxi instructions, parallel runways & what you are cleared to cross. Holding at that rwy, the wx is 1/4mi. Can you go? Turn the airport diagram over and find out.
