CitationAir FREE Pilot Interview Information and Gouge
Interview experience:
The interview is preceeded by a phone screening. Dan Smith called and we talked for about 45 minutes. They are looking for people that are corporate/charter-oriented, with good customer service skills. You'll know at the end of the phone screening if there is to be an in-person interview. The in-person interview is held in White Plains, NY. Interviewees pay their own way out to CS HQ near HPN,and you also have to provide your own hotel. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza, nice hotel but almost $200 a night, even with CS corporate discount. Once you arrive at the HQ, you are given an application to complete. Then you meet various representatives of the company - Human Resources, Dispatchers/Schedulers, Chief Pilot, and the Director of Ops. The interview process takes about 3-4 hours. I was asked questions about aircraft performance leaving ASE, climb gradients, etc. I was asked several questions about my current aircraft and asked to draw a diagram on any system. Everyone there was extremely nice and professional. Class act operation. Upgrade is approx. one year. Bad part is that there is a training contract, even if you are already typed in the aircraft you are assigned. They don't want to hire pilots that are waiting for furlough recalls.Click here to get the remaining 22 gouges on CitationAir.
