Lynx Aviation Pilot Interview:

Very laid back interview. Seems like a really nice group of people. I was the only one there...not sure if others interviewed later in the day. Interview consisted of about a 20 minute breifing on the company and what they plan to do. It was with the Director of Training, a Line Captain and the HR lady. 10 A/C ordered, 10 more options...hope to have even more afterward. After the briefing, the director of training left and the Chief Pilot, Dana Floyd, came in and took his place. Actual interview lasted roughly about 30 minutes. Dana gives you his background and then you tell everyone how you got into flying and a little bit about yourself. Questions such as "something that annoys you", "stressful time in an airplane", "anybody on your no fly list", "why Lynx and how long do you see yourself here". There was about 4-5 questions on your current aircraft systems from the manual I brought with me. Basic HR "yes/no" questions. Pretty straight forward, they plan to have their first flight in October. Seems like a good place to be if you want to get in on the ground floor of an operation. They are still hiring street captains as well. There's just not a lot of info since they haven't finalized most of it yet. I was a little disappointed that they didn't know what per diem would be yet and some other things that help a candidate make an informed decision. Hopefully I hear back soon and it's my decision to make. Good Luck!
