Interview experience:
The previous gouge is not applicable. They flew us in the night before and provided hotel accommodations, which is nice. The interview was in the actual hotel, Marriott Courtyard in Memphis. There were 12 applicants, one no showed. Of the 11 who interviewed I know for a fact that 4 did not make it, me included.
Interview is with 2 Capts and an HR rep, no written, no sim! Just basic jet aerodynamic ques from the old gouge, brief an approach, one scenario based ques i.e. Capt. shows up disshovled, unshaven but has not broken an FAR what do you do. Basic HR stuff e.g. tell me about a time you were reprimanded at a previous job, why Pinnacle, why should we hire you. Just be honest and be yourself. I felt the interview went very well but unfortunately if you have more than one checkride failure they will not hire you, it does not matter if it was your pvt. pilot ride 20 years ago! They will hire a CFI with zero transport time first. I hope this helps.

8-99. What is mach tuck?
As the aircraft reaches critical mach the nose of the aircraft tends to pitch downwards due to the flow of air over the wing reaching supersonic speeds producing additional life and center of pressure moving rearward. As the center of pressure moves rearward the elevators become less effective, pushing the aircraft into a potentially unrecoverable dive.
Mach tuck is the nose-down pitching movement an aircraft experiences as it passes its critical Mach number (Mcrt).
With increased speed and aft movement of the shock wave the center of pressure moves rearward creating a nose down tendency. If allowed to progress the elevator no longer has the authority to counteract this force and the aircraft will enter a steep sometimes unrecoverable dive.10. Give an example of leadership?
An individual who steps up in time of need and selflessly makes a difference to others.
