Fourth Annual Aviation Interviews Job Fair in Chicago, Illinois!
I just wanted to say thanks to the airlines and applicants who attended.
This job fair was the best one yet!
The photos of the job fair are now available in the Photo Gallery.

Here's what our job fair attendees had to say:

Mike,
I was very happy with the job fair experience! It was the first one that I have attended. I flew for 5 years with Air Wisconsin Airlines as a CL65 captain, before that Great Lakes. I now fly for a corporate company out of Omaha, Ne. I just recently decided to apply to Southwest and felt like I needed to get some answers from a direct source. You job fair did just that, it allowed me direct access with the SWA recruiter and their pilots to get correct answers. I believe the time I spent traveling and visiting at the fair was time well spent. I would definitely recommend it to any friend. More airlines would be the only change, I realize that might be the hardest job in getting multiple airlines to show up. The more opportunities the better.
Again GREAT JOB!

Mike,
I really enjoyed the job fair. My family and I were on our way back from a three week vacation and planned our return to make sure I was in Chicago for the job fair. We stayed the night before at the Embassy Suites - great rate of $119/night - thanks! They gave us a 3pm checkout so the kids were busy swimming while I was busy trying to better my career.
The job fair was excellent and exactly what I was looking for. I spoke with Alaska, AirTran, and NetJets (Already interviewed in February with Southwest). AirTran promised an interview within 3 months and NetJets contacted me today and told me at the job fair to consider my interview process already started. I got Alaska's business card and thought that went very well also. Thank you - I accomplished more in two hours at your job fair than I was able to do the past nine months on my own.
Now for your critique: I've been to two A**I**. job fairs this year and think yours was more what the PILOT is looking for. Alaska is my first choice and they haven't been to the last couple of A**I** job fairs. A**I** does give the companies a chance to get up and do a powerpoint presentation and sell their company. That might be okay for the companies, but I'm going to a job fair to meet the recruiters - I've already researched the companies I'm interested in and just want to move my resume onto the short stack. It seems that you had an excellent turnout from the airlines, and unless the airlines comment or request that they would like some time to give a presentation I would keep the format exactly like you have it. I very much prefer your format versus setting around for four hours listening to a bunch of recruiters when I'm only interested in few companies. I prepaid online and your job fair was less than 1/3 the cost of an A**I** event with much better face time with the recruiters. Overall, excellent job. I think a lot of people would have liked to see UPS and FedEx there - If you could get them next year that would be a big bonus.
Thanks,

Mike,
I think the job fair was a great opportunity for me to meet Ms Ryan and Ms Latozke from Alaska Airlines. I also liked very much that when I walked into the meeting room at 1200 hrs and things were just starting and I didn't have to sit through a long introduction. I will highly recommend your job fairs to other follow pilots.

Mike,
Just wanted to thank you for putting on the job fair in Chicago. In my opinion, it blew the doors off the "other" job fairs. The majority of pilots go to the job fairs to meet the airline reps, and that is exactly what you provided, and for a fair price as well. It just doesn't seem reasonable to charge just under $200 for a job fair like the "other guys" when all you want to do is go to meet the reps. I enjoyed the relatively low key atmosphere and size, it made it seem very accessible to accomplish what we were all there for. Thanks again and hopefully good news is just around the corner.
Sincerely,
Ryan
