Mike,
I just wanted to thank you for putting on the 4/28 job fair! I went into the job fair a bit timid, just trying to get some of my online applications noticed and I walked out with three interviews one of which was on the spot with Air Wisconsin and I am happy to report I was hired and I start on 5/14.

I drove 3 hours each way. I spent 2 hours there. I think is was worth the time to attend. As a low time pilot it was great to meet the recruiters face to face and have them evaluate my resume on the spot. I preregistered and there were not any hassels checking in. I would definitely recommend the job fair to anybody interested in becoming an airline pilot. The exposure you get from the face to face contact is so much more superior that just emailing in a resume.
Thanks to you and your staff for the opportunity,
Bret

Mike,
I got some great info and advice from Daniel Miller the Southwest pilot. It was also great to talk with higher power.
I would recommend the fair to friends. AirTran and SWA are the only majors that I consider to have a bright future right now and it was exciting to talk to them. It was also a great idea to have Dayjet there. If it weren't for seeing them on your list and researching who they were, I wouldn't have known about them. They are an exciting company with potential too. I have
applications in with all three. Wish me luck!

First email:
The job fair was great. I live in Sarasota, FL about a two hour drive to MCO. After about a 10 min talk to the Check airmen from AirWis I was offered a on site interview at 4:40 that day. As far as I could tell they talked to about 6 other applicants. HR and Tech. The interview was about 30 mins, was given my application packet to fill out prior to the interview. It didn't even feel like an interview was very laid back, I felt like I was just having a conversation with two new people I just met. They were trying to fill a May 14 class.
I don't know if you can do anything to make the job fair better. It is cheap as far as I'm concerned and it is really great to get your questions answered from the horses mouth. No more message board BS.
Second email:
Thanks to your website, and your job fair, I now have a job with AirWisconsin. I met with their recruiters during the job fair. I interviewed with them after the job fair and received the phone call yesterday.
Thanks again,
Mike
