Interview experience:
Hi all,
I interviewed last month and was offered conditional employment pending Captain's Review board and background check. I received an email from AE that said they wanted to put me through their jet transition program at their expense. I think they do that automatically if you don't have any previous 121 experience, or if you are below 800 hours.
All the gouges are right on as far as the questions, but the new information is that AE HAS STOPPED ALL THEIR CLASSES AND WILL NOT BE HAVING ANY MORE UNTIL AT LEAST FALL!
I received a call this week that I will be going into a pool with all the other applicants, but the girl who called me did not sound very hopeful that we would ever get called.
Things are slowing down kids! Don't let go of your CFI jobs just yet.

1. What is the 1-2-3 rule?
*Requirements for filing an alternate. 1-2-3: 1hr before to 1hr after estimated time of arrival, the weather must be forecast to be 2000' ceiling and 3SM vis.
2. When do you need a take-off alternate?
*When the weather is good enough to take off but not to land & you have to have the take-off alternate airport with in 1 hour, cruise flight still air one engine inop.(for an aircraft with 2 or less engines, it 2 hours with more than 2 engines)
