FREE Cape Air Pilot Interview Information and Gouge

Interview experience:
Started interview at 8am, there were 3 of us. Krista Poppe gave an in briefing and introduction. It's a very friendly environment. Then went to a different building and met with 2 different assistant chief pilots for the human resources part. 1 on 1 with each person (Ed and Steve) for about 10 or 20 minutes. Asked by Steve about why Cape Air, A weakness, a strength, work history, background check, etc. Asked about go/no go decisions I've had to make and why? He had a 3 page list of questions and only asked about 10 total. No tricks or anything they just want to get a feeling for you, attitude etc. Then met with Ed who looked over nearly every page of my logbook starting with most recent flights and going back. Seemed to look for consistency of flying, and noted that I fly often(which for me is pleasure flights at this time) He also looked at my medical and pilots license, asked if I've ever failed a check-ride. Asked if I've flown in ice? That was about it. Met back with Krista and toured the rest of the facility....very nice operation. They no longer do the technical interview OR the sim ride....they just dropped the sim portion last week. They said I would here back by the end of the week if offered a position...they called later that day and offered me a position with school starting April 7. (3 weeks) The hotel is very close and very nice, they made arrangements to and from Boston  on Cape Air as well as the hotel and had a check for me to reimburse my airline flight. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to start. The schedules put you home every night so you can have a life too.
