FREE NetJets Pilot Interview Information and Gouge

Interview experience:
I realize that I interviewed a while ago now.  I am just getting around to posting my experience now. Sorry everyone!  I interviewed in August 2006.  I had sent my resume in around Feb. or March and didn't hear anything.  I interviewed at another fractional operator around May.  When I found out that I didn't get the job, I resubmitted my resume to NetJets and the next morning had an interview set up in about a month.  I guess my point is don't give up if you don't hear anything right away.  After studying the gouge on this site as much as possible, I went to the interview.  It was 2 days.  NetJets puts you up right by the airport in a nice hotel with a free breakfast for you.  They provide lunch the second day in the interview as well.  Everyone that we met was very down to earth and friendly.  They made the interview go like you were visiting friends you haven't seen in a long time and you were just catching up.   They do a great overview of the company and its benefits package and show you the airplanes the first day.  The second day is the interview and sim ride.  The interview is just them getting to know you.  I briefed an arrival and an approach.  They had various different ones to chose from.  The Captain stumped me on a question, so don't feel like you have to get them all right. Just be yourself, and be honest about all the questions that they ask.   They asked me:  tell how you got into flying, where am I from, why NetJets, what would I do if I could go back in time, what I like to eat, a few technical questions about systems on the plane that I flew, and briefed some charts.  None tricky!  Just do it like you would all the time.  As far as the hated sim.  Citation 500 sim, bolted to the floor, not on motion.  EFIS on the right side and standard on the left.  You chose which side to fly from.  You take off and do a couple of level offs, a steep turn left and right, a hold at an NDB with a straight in ILS down to 300/1 if I had to guess.  Then you NFP for your partner while they fly the same thing.  I didn't fly perfect and I got the job, so just get in and try to have fun.  There are others who say the sim went well and they didn't get the offer.  I have no idea how they determine the outcome, but 9-10 got hired in my interview class.  They even set it up so the earlier airline home goes first.  I can't say enough good about the company and the interview process.  They don't over interview here and they will tell you that.  If you're at the interview, you have a good chance.  Not everyone gets hired, but I bet a large percent do, unlike the airlines.  Sorry this is such old info, but the people here are very friendly.  Enjoy the interview!  If you're at the interview, you're way ahead of a lot of applicants.  Relax!  Be yourself!  Let them know how bad you want the job!  Good luck everyone!  I will see you out on line!
