FREE Frontier Pilot Interview Information and Gouge

Interview experience:
Competive mins are about 4500 total and over 500 turbine PIC. I showed up at 8 am in the morn. HR lady goes through an introduction and the schedule for the day. This is where you see what your indivdual schedule is for the two different sections of the day. The morning brief is also where you see what kind of pilot ther are looking for. They are looking for someone who is warm and loves their job and loves Frontier. The brief makes you a little nervous because they are looking for pilots who will fit in perfectely and have the traits they are looking for. They have high standards. There are only 2 different sections for the day. One is a CRM exercise with about 5 people and the other is a panel interview with 7 people. The entire panel consisted of pilots, HR, Rampers, Flight attendats, and interns. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed although who can be relaxed at an interview. I Did my CRM exercise which was in a papertiger and you only have 7 minutes to get through it. Focus here is to read the brief for the situation and then be methodical about the situation that is at hand. Use all resources. They will try to saturate you in the CRM exercise. After the 7 min CRM exercise the 5 person panel leaves and you go over what you did good and what you did bad. This can make you our break you, make sure you do a good debrief of the CRM exercise. I then did the panel interview which was great because you actually get to sit down and talk with everybody, i really wanted to get to know some of the panel better. The panel interview consisted of basic HR questions, plate questions, and some application questions. A good reputaion is key to getting a job at Frontier since it is a small company and it is I think the greatest group of airline employees that provide an exceptional product. A very important part of the day is the 6.5 hrs you sit in the cafeteria waiting around for your 2 different interviews. You meet lots of people from Frontier, even crew schedulers. Be yourself and don't be nervous because people are coming out of their way to see you. Frontier has assigned floaters who hang out in the cafeteria to chat and answer any questions you may have. At the end of the day, 4:30 pm, when everybody is wiped out, you have to get up in front of everybody and tell them why you want to work at Frontier and another question that they give you in the morning. The last question could be anything, usually something not related to flying. If you don't want the job, they'll see right through it and you won't get it. Good luck, its a fantastic company.
