Interview experience:
All gouge on here is up to date with one exception- there is now a 40 question multi choice exam given. It was stressed to us that it is not a factor in the selection process- just something they are trialing- however it was discussed in the interview briefly.
Arrived and was taken to a classroom and shown a presentation on Lynx by Claire. She is great and really easy going. Then a Q&A session. Big thing of note for me was that you are paid during training- 70 hour guarantee applies although no accom. provided for first two weeks training as it is in DEN- which will be your base. Not really a surprise but no firm decision on the further 10 Q400 options yet.
Then we were given the exam which was a surprise. Basic IFR/ Commercial stuff, here are the few questions I can recall- RVR (3200 I think) to Vis. conversion, IFR lost comms in cruise/ IMC procedure, descend from FLXXX to land at airport elevation XXX where local QNH is 30.XX-forget to reset altimeter from 29.92 what does alt read?, definition of sterile cockpit, ISA at sea level- answers are combination of degrees F/C and "/mb, min fuel declaration-what does it mean?, take off alternate, couple of TAF/ METAR decoding questions, sigmet, windshear, formation of frost, V speed, holding speed limits, class B speed limit, seat belts/ shoulder harnesses.
Those are all I can recall but should give you a good idea of the test.
Following the test we were interviewed one at a time- questioned on a DEN ILS plate, given a hold clearance and asked to brief that with the aid of a diagram and asked about the aircraft manual you take along. This is all as written in previous gouges- almost word for word in some cases especially the few HR questions.
After the interview you are free to go. Overall a quick process.
Good luck.
