Nice hotel, clean rooms. Internet supposedly costs $9.95 in the room but there is free wireless in the lobby. Don't know if this works all the time, but I connected to the free wireless in the lobby then went upstairs a while later and somehow I am now getting free internet in the room. Must have tricked the network since the network name in the lobby is the same as the network name on the guest room floors. Worth a shot if you're not into getting ripped off for internet.
Places To Eat:
Don't let the front desk tell you that there is nothing within walking distance. I had a long overnight and was bored and just took off on foot and there were several places to eat within about 6 blocks (bbq, hot dogs, quiznos, subway, couple small delis and burger places, place called Billys that looked pretty good). Ask the front desk for a map and a list of restaurants (not a very complete list apparently) and start walking towards the building that has "MAYO" on top of it in big letters, that'll get you headed in the right direction. If you get the van to take you to Cherry St. there are more restaurants (Panera, Kilkenny's Irish Pub, couple Italian places, a Mexican place, couple of burger places).
Things To Do:
Usually a short overnight but if you have time it's worth a look around. Not much in the immediate area but if you're willing to go out and explore there are some things to see and do (library, bars, jazz hall of fame, Indie film theater). If you ask the van to drive you to Cherry St. there are a quite a few shops and restaurants there as well (Kilkenny's is pretty good). If you make it all the way up to 2nd St and Elgin or 1st street (about 13 blocks away), there is an Indie theater, sushi place and a few bars/music venues.

Not much in the immediate area, but if you're willing to walk about half a mile (20 minutes even if you've become a too-well-fed crewmember)there are plenty of places with great happy-hour prices and decent food. Get a map from the front desk and head north of the river.
Places To Eat:
Mexi-Cali Cafe -- surprisingly good Mexican food. 14 West Brady north of the river. Sushi place within 3 blocks of the Mexi-Cali. Lots of other places south of the river on Main Avenue which were recommended by locals during lunch.
Things To Do:
Just eat and drink...or hit the crackpipe for $9.95 a day. Get out of the room, for God's sake! Cellar Dweller's is a tiny dive bar in the basement of an apartment building across the street and a block down from the hotel. It's at 417 W. 7th Street. Forget about asking the front desk. They gave us bum directions and the wrong name. We ended up finding it after about 45 minutes of walking all over town at night. The sign's very small but they're open 'til 2am.

The gouge says there is free internet in the rooms, but when I asked the front desk they said that it had changed and it is now $9.95. We can use their computer in the business center. Overall nice hotel with friendly staff.

When checking in I asked about the wireless internet, she said it was free for crewmembers, but you had to leave a credit card number. I thought that was strange, but I did it anyway. The next morning there was an invoice left under my door for 9.99 for the internet. When checking out I took it to the front desk and they took it off my credit card.

Pretty nice hotel with comfortable beds and the warm cookie on check in.

The van driver will take you within 5 miles. There's an irish pub that has good beers and good food, but you need to call the van by 10:55 to pick you up because the driver gets off at 11:00 PM.
