My favorite place to be in Lake Charles! The rooms are so clean and awesome. I've stayed here a lot of times, aside from overnighting here through work, and I absolutely love it!
Places To Eat:
The restaurants in the hotel and casino are great. It's definitely got a lot more choices than any other hotel in the system. I hope this hotel doesn't get taken away from us because of people complaining about the prices, which, in my point of view, are not bad at all.
Things To Do:
Gambling and blowing your paycheck of course :-)

WOW. A large casino complex that has many shops, restaurants, and a great pool with a lazy river and two jacuzzis. Rooms are likely the nicest of any overnight we have-clean, modern, and with very comfortable beds. Van was waiting for us upon arrival, and you can go right up to the check in counter upon arrival at the hotel. You have to keep in mind this is not a typical "crew hotel" and as such they don't give us a food discount, free internet, etc. Departure van time is very early (4pm for a 528pm go time) but their shuttle goes other places, and they work our trip to the airport into the existing schedule. Just deal with it and hang out in ops for 30 minutes.

Buffet is OK, no Italian food and a heavy emphasis on seafood and Cajun cooking. There is also a huge salad bar with lots of fruit, soup, etc. Le Cafe is open 24/7 and is good, if a bit expensive. Asia opens at 4pm, and is my favorite and is reasonably priced. The noodles are good. The Jack Daniel's Bar looks like fun but is only open late on weekends. Take a walk through it just for fun-it's great. There is also a Starbucks-like coffee shop near the front desk.
Things To Do:
The pool is great-clean, warm, and the jacuzzi is nice and hot. There is an area set aside for adults only, and is much quieter. The workout room is not free. Internet is not free.

Hotel may ask for a credit card upon check in but you are not required to provide it. Hotel is beautiful. Nice, modern rooms. Great beds. Flat screen TVs and really nice bathrooms. Most rooms will overlook the pool/river.

Finally a nice overnight in LCH. Brand new casino/resort. Walk into your room and there is soft lounge music playing from the built in entertainment system. Large flat screen TV. Very nice rooms.

Hotel has several restaurants, including a Japanese place, cafe place, and buffet. These are all a little pricey so there is a Buffalo Wild Wings, O'Charleys and an Applebees I think next to the Sam's by the hotel entrance, 10 minute walk.
Things To Do:
Well of course there is the gambling, most tables are $10+. Very nice pool and golf course, they rent out clubs. Enjoy your long overnight.
