Hotel Comments:
The hotel is very nice overall. The internet is NOT free, you must pay $9.95 for access in rooms and pay for it as well in the business center. The place does have a small gym and a small indoor pool, nothing special. The hotel has 2 restaurants, one is a small bistro and the other a fancy one that has a 360-degree view of STL from top of the hotel. It's very expensive. The service in the bistro is marginal, very slow and not friendly.
Places To Eat:
Tons of places if you're willing to walk a little. The hotel restaurants are very expensive.
Things To Do:
Located downtown right across the Gateway Arch and Busch Field (Cardinals baseball). Only thing is that it's a 25 minute ride to the airport. If you have time to kill, go over to the River Casino, which is like a 5 minute van ride from the hotel. The casino van will pick you up right in front of the hotel, just get the bellman from the hotel to call the casino and they'll send a van right over to you, 24-hours a day. The casino is nothing like Las Vegas or Atlantic City but it's not too bad if you have a long overnight, it's worth the trip.

Hotel Comments:
I start the rating at 5, then I add and subtract points for each good or bad comment. This hotel gets a 7. +++ Excellent location! + Pool. - The internet is not free. - No free breakfast.
Places To Eat:
Go right out of the hotel (downstream direction), go a few blocks, then turn left and go a few blocks. There is a plaza area with numerous restaurants including TGIFridays, Hooters, Panera Bread, and Calico's. Calico's is good.
Things To Do:
You can go to the top of the St. Louis Arch for $10. Worth it to do once. Get there early so you won't have to wait in line. The museum of westward expansion is beneath the arch and that is free. Busch Field is one block in the other direction if there is a Cardinals game going on. A casino on the river.

Hotel Comments:
Good overnight, and not a bad hotel, but I've been there twice in the last two weeks and have had trouble. Internet is no longer free in the rooms, and as mentioned, using hotel computer costs money. We had trouble with the shuttle from the airport to the hotel both times. Could be our new hotel service.
Places To Eat:
Don't eat in the hotel. It's expensive and it put my FO in the hospital with food poisoning.
Things To Do:
Plenty to do in the area. Hotel is next to the baseball field, so if the Cardinals are playing at home, check out a game.

Hotel Comments:
Hotel is nice, but if you don't have your own laptop bring your Visa card. Business center costs $3 for 15mins. WiFi is free in the lobby but didn't work on my PDA. Walked a few blocks to the Adams Mark Hotel and used their free wifi in the lobby, which was very fast.
Places To Eat:
Charlie Gitto's is a great Mom N Pop italian joint. Very good food. Dinners are $10 to $16 and are generous portions. Turn right out of the hotel, going north on 4th street for 4 blocks to Pine street. Make a left and go 2 blocks to 6th street. It's across the street on 6th. For breakfast you can't beat Chile Mac's. It's a "Mel's Diner" type of place. Old fashioned pancakes on the griddle. Very good and very cheap. Pancakes are under $3 for a short stack. This diner is on Pine St. bewteen 5th and 6th. You walk past it to get to Charlie Gitto's.
Things To Do:
Same as the other post. Lots to do downtown.

One of the best hotels in the system. Located downtown and wedged between Gateway Arch and Busch Field. Only downside is the 25 minute ride to KSTL.

Go to river casino, catch a Cards game, or hang out downtown. Plenty of shopping, food, etc......
