BE Careful Downtown Dayton is not the safest area to be wandering around, esp by yourself. An elderly guest at the hotel was mugged and roughed up while looking for a place to eat while I was staying there!!!
Places To Eat:
Spaghetti Warehouse, they make pretty good Sangria!
Things To Do:
Air Force Museum, expect to spend a better part of the day the place is huge

During the week and daytime Embassy diner right next door to the right Greek diner great food and really inexpensive. Spaghetti Warehouse few blocks away. Cold beer and cheeseburger bar. Really that is the name of the place.. a short walking distance away and a great dive bar right across the street called the Century Bar with cheap beers and drinks. Also a bar to the left of the hotel next to the subway sandwich shop..tell them you are flight crew.. that also has great drink specials and live blues bands as well as the Oregon District with tons to do all within walking distance
Things To Do:

Beautiful room, but the plug for hairdryer and curling iron in dangerous place. Across from the toilet??? If curling iron was dropped in toilet....bad news. Otherwise nice bed and beautiful room.

They were remodeling the hotel the last time I was there. Construction noise woke me up at 7am.
Places To Eat:
Dublin's Irish Pub and Grill in the Oregon district. Good food and drink. Live music some nights mostly on weekends.
Things To Do:
There's a movie theater nearby that plays Indi films and serves alcohol. The Oregon district is a nice little area to do some shopping. A few thrift shops and hole in the wall food places. Also a comedy club.

Ask the front desk for a free user name and password for the high-speed internet service. Rumor has it that our contract with the hotel allows them to waive the $9.95 fee.
Places To Eat:
Quite a few restaurants within walking distance. Just don't go out alone at night.
