Hotel Comments:
One of the nicer holliday inns I've seen. That is as far as the appearance and cleanliness goes. Have to give it a reduced rating for poor location. Not much really close, and although staff is friendly, they are unwilling to take you anywhere even when reminded we are crew.... Gym is TERRIBLE. old cardio equipment only. no weights... bed is nice. nice comforter. crapy pillows. wired internet. fridge in room.
Places To Eat:
hotel restaurant gives 25% off..
Things To Do:
wish time went quicker..

Hotel Comments:
The hotel is very nice when you compare it to rest of the dumpy Holiday Inns we stay it, actually doesn't have the "Holiday Inn" look or feeling. Gets really cold in the winter so make sure to pack warm clothes! The van ride is about 20 minutes or so and it runs on-demand as needed. Free coffee all day long starting at 6am, sucks if you have an early show (take some creamers from the lobby the night before and use them in the coffee in the room for an early show). The staff is very friendly. Hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub. WIRED internet access only, no wireless in the hotel, but the cable is provided in each room.
Places To Eat:
Hotel is within walking distance to a few places to eat. If not, ask the front desk and the van will take you almost anywhere to eat when it's available. The front desk might say that they cannot take you due to insurance liability blah blah, but just politely remind them that you're a flight crew and if they would be so kind to give you a ride and normally they'll do it. There's a mall that has a food court. Other wise, there's the Grand Rapids Brew House, Panera Bread, Wendy's, On The Border, Burger King, Olive Garden, and a few pizza places, delis, and Chinese food. The hotel restaurant gives us a discount, but on the pricey side.
Things To Do:
Not much. The mall is nearby that the van will take you. Spend some time in the pool or hot tub at the hotel. Eat, drink, surf the net, and sleep!

Hotel Comments:
Hotel is nice and is the same design as we USED to stay in in IAD. Business center has a couple of computers. One had some problems with Internet Explorer.
Places To Eat:
I would avoid the in-house restaurant. Pricey and I could have cooked the food better on my own. I walked up the street to Panera and got a sandwich for lunch. There's a Wendy's further down and an Olive Garden within a 20 min. walk of the hotel.
Things To Do:
Nothing.
